I'm wearing my (old) glasses today which are black plastic, so I try to keep my face as "natural" as possible when I wear them. As I'm out of contacts and have yet to get my new frames filled yet, I'll be rocking this look all week, at least...

All is the same as above except the lipstick. Today I'm wearing Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in 020 Regal Rose (again, as a stain).

After a week of using the Dream Matte Mousse, I've decided I don't care for it. By the end of the day I seem to be getting rather oily and it seems like the makeup is floating on top of my skin in a very unflattering uneven way. I don't know if it'd be any better if I used a primer underneath it, but the only one I have now is The Present from Philosophy (which contains gluten) and I won't use it. Back to the search for my HG matte foundation.

Does anyone have a matte foundation makeup that they like?
I'm about to bite the bullet and order the Pan-Stik from drugstore.com Pan-cake doesn't seem to come in a color even close to my skin tone anymore... :(

^ I hated the Maybelline mousse at first. The only application method I found that worked is applying a miniscule amount with a dry sponge and blending, so I get a really thin layer. Have you tried the Boots mousse foundation? The only other suggestion I have is MAC Studio Fix. I have the liquid and the powder versions and I really like them both. I'm not sure how matte Pan-Stik is.

If you're interested in pancake or pan-stik type products, I would suggest looking at other theatrical brands like Kryolan, Graftobian, and Ben Nye. Most costume supply shops will sell them or you can buy online, and they have a much larger selection of colors than Max Factor pancake. I know Kryolan has been around since the WWII era.

Today -
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in Porcelain Ivory
Coty Airspun powder - translucent extra coverage
Some French bronzer as blush, can't remember the brand
Lorac auburn brow pencil
MAC Painterly paint pot (as eye primer)
MAC Orb, Mylar & Satin Taupe eyeshadows
MAC False Lash mascara
Aveda nude lip liner
Revlon Moon Drops 24K Orange lipstick

Due to discoloration, I'm in need of a full coverage makeup. My gut tells me that a pancake might be my HG. I hadn't considered theatrical makeup... why I'm not sure... But I'll definately snoop the Kryolan and Ben Nye sites and see what I can find.

Today:
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in Classic Ivory #2 (I still don't like it...)
Meow Cosmetics Pampered Puss Mineral Foundation in Frisky Abyssinian
ELF Clear Mascara (to tame my brows)
Meow Cosmetics Brow Beater in Black
Prestige Liquid Eyeliner in Black/Brown (for eyeliner and my beauty mark)
Maybelline The Falsies mascara in Black
Besame Red Velvet Lipstick
Shalimar EDP

Lenore, how much are you willing to spend? I highly recommend Estee Lauders maximum cover foundation. I finally got around to trying the new formula and it's just as good as the discontinued one!

P.s. The Smashbox foundation I mentioned a few pages ago went back to the store. My sucky skin disliked it.. Boo.

Money isn't really an issue, but less would obviously be nice. I'm seriously interested in Ben Nye's products. I found a theatre supply place around here that sells it. I'll stop by this weekend and see about picking some up. :)

I bought that for my mother last Christmas. It's beautiful. :)

^ I love the Revlon PhotoReady foundations & primers, but the liquid foundation definitely isn't matte. I consider it a drugstore dupe of MAC Mineralize liquid.

MAC Studio Fix powder NC15
Lorac auburn brow pencil
MAC Painterly paint pots on eyes, MAC Orb & Satin Taupe eyeshadow
MAC False Lash mascara
Smashbox peach lip pencil, Revlon Moon Drops 24K Orange lipstick
