Would you actually need a leather jacket on a 'tropical' island..?? How bout just a nice sun block, cutoffs, and leather sandals. Oh and dark shades and wide brimmed hat maybe..!!

On some nights in December and January it gets below 70 degrees on Kauai. Brrrrr.You might need a light jacket at night. Depends on just how "tropical" the island actually is.
