Those calico trews look great; how do they wear compared to linen?
Pure linen feels wonderful to wear but crumples so easily, within half an hour you look like you have slept in your linen trousers. But a 25% poly mix and they can withstand almost anything.

in fast fashion at least they literally don't last, while green or slow fashion whatever they call it "buy quality" thing, ideally they should stop buying once their supposedly minimalist wardrobe is achieved, but in reality since people can pay, they just keep on buying quality white tshirts, quality jeans, and quality shoes and boots, and quality jackets, that probably never get properly worn before they get too small, and that thing like leather jacket or boots or jeans will last for a very long time even when neglected.

I do rather like the louchness of rumpled linen, but pure linen trousers wear sofast at the crotch no matter how much they cost, I tend to always go for a cotton mix.

I tell you something.
For next summer, I want a nice light, turquoise trousers, but on 95%, the ladies section in department store is going to get a visit from me! First, there are so more turquoise summer pants and second, they got coloured chinos AND my prefered classic 5-pocket jeans styled ones!

And I know the formula to translate women's size to men's size.
(Your chest measurement : 2) - 6

Means, I have to look for german female size "36/38" or just my "S".

So, let's see, what summer will bring. :D

I think shopping for women trousers is bad idea, the crotch cut differently, fly zipper probably too short for men to use urinoir , the back pocket is undersized not usable for mens wallet, and most likely you endup with ankle pants

I don't know, how pants and jeans are cutted in you area, but all I can say, is, that in Europe, especially Germany, the cuts are astonishing less different, these days. And many men (in the bigger cities) wear woman 5-pocket jeans or others.

Strange for sure....

Not in today's Germany. I'm a sporty, trim man and still got really no problems with standard sized jeans, thank God! But many other men, having the more "german bodyshape" here complain about never finding a well fitting jeans in the men section. But in the ladies section, they suddenly make a find.
I think, the explanation for this is, that women's blue jeans often got 3 or even 4% elasthane with a little different cut and this makes them fit better.

with jeans depend, if you think of mall jeans then either standard model jeans levis 501 etc which probably designed for men but women can fit in as well especially with some elastane, or real women jeans that accentuate their shape, I don't think men would wear that
as for raw jeans thing... most are men jeans with men sizing too, here and there a women model but pretty rare.

if you think pants formal trousers/ slacks, then women trousers to me looks like they are designed for women, the front crotch is designed to look neat and flat for women, if men wear it then you might feel tighter and has no room on the crotch for a pants in your waist size,

I once bought online a cargo camouflage pants says universal/ unisex from china, all the dimension looks working for me, but upon arriving I saw the sizing looked like women sizing and when i tried it on, it gave moose knuckle and the pants pulling and make the front rise super low and all sort of weird creases(totally unusable) and that was a cargo pants in thick cotton, i imagine summer pants in more tailored cut and lighter fabric would give more problem:confused:

but i dunno perhaps with the current gender movement... women pants might have extra room for balls since it should fit a he that want to be called a she... I dunno:eek::confused:
