Brought out my Johnson Leather vest for the first day of spring. Think I’ll get some good use of it in the new spot

"The weather is nice today, not too cold—perfect for my slim RMC J-100. I’d say it’s my favorite jacket in my small collection, but my wife would probably disagree and say, 'You always say that about all of them when you wear them.' Maybe she’s right. But this particular J-100 is the one that started it all. It was the first jacket I bought outside of the big retail stores. It was the first jacket that had a distinct smell and fit perfectly. This jacket sparked my interest and began my journey into jacket collecting. So, yes, it holds a special place for me."

The lighting in that elevator is really cool

Apparently, VERY gloomy. Kind of the opposite of Tom’s post I quoted

That´s what I thought too.

I never use filters for my TFL posts, although it´s hard to believe with shots like these. The hide is just amazing (as you know!), and its really rare that the iPhone catches the "true colour" so well.

Got the LW Trojan today.
4oz Russet HH, Crown main zip. Heavy boy coming in at 7.8lbs.

I mostly get their jackets in black, but the russet just gets all the design elements to pop in person.

The original Trojan is what got Stu in the M/C jacket game. Now I see why - Amazing.

Will post some fit pics later.

A fellow Trojan! That's what I'm talking about! Man, it looks fantastic, congratulations!

The belt looks terrific as well - that I don't have.

How long did it take to make?

Got any fit pics?

Thanks! I gotta admit, your fit pics swayed me. So glad about how this one turned out.

Took a month to be made.

Here’s some fit pics. Don’t think it could fit any better out of the box.

That's a great fit!! Awesome!

And one month is not long to wait at all.

Wear it as much as possible in the rain and the grain will start to pop. I am excited to see it develop.

Congratulations again - just terrific.

BTW: that white mouton collar is really something else. Looks incredible.

I went with the boring Cooper A2 today.
20250320_165551.jpg

This year my 2 most worn jackets have been this cooper and my Woolrich 503.
I have worn them probably 5x as much as I've posted them here.

I'm hoping Steve at Bedo's will be finished with my Taylors CMPD sometime next week and have it on it's way back to me, but spring is about to start and I may not even have any chances to wear it.
Maybe over just a T shirt but that's it and quite limiting.
For the next couple months it'll be light jacket weather at the most until summer when I'll be completely MIA from jackets till late October when were back into some light jacket weather.

If that vintage Plane pockets denim jacket ever arrives I'll probably wear it a bunch if it fits well.

LW Trojan is my absolute favorite. I’ve got one in HH and one in the awesome canvas. I’ve got a white mouton collar for my LW J23 and need to see if I can rig it to fit the Trojan. Looks awesome.

I also think the Trojan belt is super nice and classy.

I’m with you! J-100 (Aero) started it all for me. Still probably my favorite of all the jackets I own, although weather needs to be just right. Great fit on you

You bet. I see you're getting some rain therapy on yours too.
And yeah, there's never been an issue where I've had to wait longer than 2 months for a jacket. Stu usually gives me a 4-6 week timeline saying my orders are simple. I'll take it.

Really dig the shearling collar too.
It probably reads white against the jacket, but it's the regular off-white shearling. It would probably stick out too much if it was pure white.

I only got it today, but I can already tell this is a favorite. J23/24s, Perfectos & CHPs are awesome - but this is the quintessential jacket of its time and pure class (belt included)

White collar on black Trojan would look so good together like below:

Speaking of canvas, I saw this eye-catching OD canvas in the workshop today. Maybe they've had it for a while, but first time I saw it.
And yes, I'm saying this at the risk of you hating me for putting bad ideas in your head.
