Well, first I had a Akubra Adventurer fedora and then I got the US Wings Indy Adventurer jacket . Naturally had to give it a go paired together. Although I look more like the big-azz Germans that Indy is always fighting.

Gotta be honest, not really going for the look but Indiana Jones did have a big influence on my leather jacket obsession as a teen.

Indiana Jones was also the instigator of my leather jacket thing. I bought my first with my confirmation money when I was 12.

I even bought myself Alden 405’s for my 40th. They ended up not fitting properly but sold them to an absolutely lovely gent who does Indy cosplay.

Didn’t he wear a fedora though?

Btw, you look like a bamf, in the nicest possible way!

Cheers…. Where every body knows your name…

Same sloppy Aerguitar fit pics, but new test jacket today… new pattern, new hide. Turns out, I love both. I’ll probably play around and have some fun with pocket configurations on this one, as well as different belt options. This hide is not playing around. Somewhere between Schott’s steer and Vanson’s comp weight. It’s 3.5- 4oz chrome tan and I had to do a little skiving to make my machines happy. Definitely a bike leather with this top coat. One day of wear and the grain is starting to pop. Gonna be a long-ish road to break in for this one, but I can’t wait to see what it looks like after some real world wear.

Holy smokes, he just sits at the machine and makes a jacket like this. If this is not insanely cool, I don't know what is. Things like that are what make the TFL members the best.

It really seems you have found your niche here - ever considered this as a part-time career designing & building high quality leather jackets? That is simply amazing sir!

^^Thank you all for the kind words! While I do seem to have a bit of the aptitude needed to make jackets, the more I get into it, the more I’m humbled and realize I don’t know sh*t about sh*t. If I can figure out how to incorporate it into real life between work and dad duties(wife and I recently adopted a baby girl), I am very interested in making jackets to sell on a small scale in the near ish future!

I had seen you had made some other jackets, but I literally scrolled down to see who was the maker thinking no way you already were at this level. I'm sure you will tell me all the little things you wish to have done better but it looks amazing.

Really impressive how far you’ve come along in such a short amount of time. You’re truly talented my dude. Keep it up!

Looking sharp! The only design element I never cared for on flight jackets is the fabric cuff and waistband, which is why I like this jacket so much.

Kept the back really simple, as I prefer for my own jackets. I almost went with an action back on this one, but the canvas test jacket proved to be mobile enough without, and luckily the leather version worked out that way too.

Love it! Perfect compliment to the front. The plaid liner looks really nice as well.

I also like the hardware (rivets?) you put on the sides of the pockets and also on the epaulettes. It’s a nice detail without going overboard

Another day, another new to me Langlitz Columbia. This CHP pattern is just so comfortable to wear. This one a late '80's Particularly heavy Cowhide 10-pocket with epaulettes on the shoulders. 8.5 lbs of amazing Steerhide/Cowhide. Has had some modifications to the sleeves that I do not think take away from it at all. More details in the Show your Langlitz thread.
