Wearing my nemesis today… finally finished this cafe/J-100 mash up in 3.5-4oz CXL steer hide. I’ve always been interested in this hide, I’ve only had experience handling CXLFQHH. Color is burgundy and is really beautiful. Im very glad that I built a little extra room into this one as it is an absolute unwieldy beast of a jacket. This one took me twice as long to complete because getting these seams to lay flat was a workout. I have a new found respect for those who regularly use this weight of hide to make jackets. I feel like a spent a week getting my ass kicked by ninjas. Not cartoon ninjas, but the real ones. Do I want to make another CXL jacket? No thank you. My sewing machine is still weeping and giving me the side eye. Turned out alright though!

I've been away traveling, and took the Branded straight zip along, which I thought I was going to sell.
Glad I did not, it's become a real favorite due to a great pattern, flexible design and just being so easy to wear for travel, etc. This photo was taken quite a way from Iowa.

Did you fly with it on? That would be the test of ultimate leather comfort.

I love it how those clowns can't even imagine their clown-money as anything other than gold. The whole point behind the stupid internet number generator money was so it wouldn't physically exist, yet whenever these bozos visualize it, they make it look like gold. World is a circus, run by clowns with rotten, yellow teeth.

Exactly - they are trying to make something out of nothing and to do so, it requires tremendous amounts of electricity to create/mine each coin which is expensive. Another pyramid scheme for the few to take from the many. If all those on the merry-go-round cashed in their chips at the same time the whole thing would collapse. The biggest clown of all, pending his inauguration, may have a detrimental impact on all of us regardless of ones country of origin.

Time will tell.

congrats I like the shoulder slope and the exposed cuff zipper tape, and also perfect sleeve length, I love slant chest pockets and no handwarmers on racer jacket so I can't really comment on the pocket configuration haha, I think the back would need a lot of time to break in to look right.

Hi did you make this jacket yourself? How did you make the shoulder smooth like a suit with padding? Amazing

Thanks! I agree, the back is gonna need some break in time for sure to settle down. That pic was with about an hour of wear. I’m a big fan of racers with no hand warmers as well, but my Aero covers that base, so I added them here.
