This UNBELIEVABLE UNIT of a coat just arrived. 1930's? (my assessment based on button loops not button holes as later examples had) Beck Northeaster Flying Togs Horsehide, wool and shearling lined Police coat in NOS condition. And yes I am going to wear this to get groceries later.....

Is there storm cuffs? Does the lining open at the bottom? How are the sleeves lined - wool fabric or wool fur?

This one came out of New Hampshire. In the listing the seller suggested that it could perhaps be cut into a shorter jacket if one didn't like the length.....the husband said that it was Police Motorcycle coat from the Boston PD. I have French Exams this morning (how's that for Canadian), but I will try to take better pics and do a post about it this afternoon.
