Vanson Enfield. Still brand new. First time I wear it outside. Received this right before temperatures dropped, had no chance to wear it until now.

You wear that well, JJ! As @navetsea said: so simple yet perfect that you literally cannot look out of place anywhere.

My very limited experience with Vanson (one Chopper via TB) didn’t really sell me on them, so far, but pix like that always make me rethink.

I'm cooking the Christmas dinner now, but this morning when we went out to church I was wearing this canvas hooded jacket that looks like it might be Carhartt (but it's NOT Carhartt though, shhh!)

Over a nice Levi's Cone Mills denim shirt and my trusty Unbranded 21s.

To all our North-American friends affected by the cold-spell: hope you stay safe and warm and have all your loved ones around you for the holidays!

Temps here have gone up some 15 degrees (centigrade) in the last few days, and it’s raining cats and dogs for days now. Not very festive, but not dangerous either (unless you have a leaky roof).
I heard today some parts of the US are looking at -50 Celcius which I just cant comprehend. Stay safe everyone. Meanwhile too warm for jackets down here. Did some crayfish with garlic on the barbecue for the festive lunch yesterday.

Got this Schott 618. Went with the 40 instead of Schott’s recommended 42 with my build. Room for a thick shirt but definitely not a sweater. A lot shorter than my 519. Overall just getting acquainted but I think I may like the 618 better

Oh and plenty of time for good moods and goofin around, looks like we made it past the freeze time without major issue just in time for the big day. Merry Christmas y’all

Yes, I would say… that’s just about exactly how that jacket should fit. It looks great on you!

I find that Schott runs one size large. I always need to size down, or find one of their “slim fitting” jackets and pray it’ll fit me!

the fit looks good on you, is this the reason why sometime I see people ( including Aquaman in his frewheller photo) wearing their pants belt buckle on the side close to their left waist, is that to avoid belt buckle to buckle hitting/ hindering each other?

Too warm and rainy, so I took inspiration from @jacketjunkie‘s new ˋEnfield‘ and brought out the ˋChopper´.

I have often voiced my dissatisfaction with the leather, and the hardware could have a more classy touch too. Especially since there are many pictures available where Vanson excels on both counts.

But, I will say: Putting it on renders you completely invincible and easily triples your very own ˋmanliness´. Take this, LW…!!! ;)
Jokes aside: really like it more than I thought. Will stay out of the closet for the time being.

Thanks Merv!

The buckle on my jeans belt is pretty flat, I could see a larger buckle being problematic. Especially while trying to start zipping

This is it. Perfect jacket length. This jacket looks badass!
Thanks Marc. It definitely feels badass!

Thanks, @JMax!

I have been wearing that extensively for years and years. It’s fully broken in, just doesn’t show ist (other than the topcoat flaking off here and there). A bit like some batches of LL standard horse only much thicker. Anyway, it does FEEL good.

Ok, wow. That’s a particularly resilient hide on that jacket then, to say the least. Looks great on you though.

Looks good Tom. I had been eyeballing a used one in my size but it sold just as my funds came together…
