Went downtown to the Iron Shop Provision New Orleans grand opening. The real party didn’t start til later but I had a good time hanging out with the crew that was there

Ended up snapping this picture on my way out, I liked the look better when the shirt was tucked in but was in a hurry

I used to spend a fair amount of time in New Orleans for business Pre-Katrina. Always stayed in the Garden district, one of my favorite hangouts was this Mexican restaurant called Superior Grill. And of course Pat O’Brien’s . Good memories.

drop the mic, bro. Spectacular.

You're not kidding. I'd trade all my jackets for this (not that @Bonasera would want any of my jackets, lol). But seriously, as far as D-pockets go, this is an endgame jacket for m
Well said.

incredible!!!!!
Thanks. I often enjoy watching your nice collections.:D
I think the Blatt Perfecto style jackets have levels to them. @jonbuilder has one that is end gamey. Nicest hide I have seen on a Blatt. The D pocket is the one I would want though.
His Blatt jacket has very beautiful hide. Blatt is one of the most favorite manufacturer.

Nice outfit! Some may take offence at the “black jacket, brown boots” combo, but I think it looks effortlessly cool.

I know what you say about tucking. On others, I do like the untucked look (c.f. Above re “effortless”). On me I find it rather sloppy looking, especially with a short jacket. That said, a heavy work shirt will simply not be a good tucker.

All in all, your outfit deserves extra credit for ignoring everything Instagram seeks to prohibit you from doing.

Starting to break in nicely. Jacket looks way better than new out of the box already. Keep wearing it!

One of my favorite jackets, a heavy steerhide Aero Highwayman. This one is heavier than normal, even for steerhides, and the sleeves are unusually thick. So thick that it would mitigate a lot of crush force, like a dog bite, or another animal. I like that. I've worn this jacket on lonely mountains on long hikes. I've only had it for about a year but it has already seen a lot and will see much more.

I like the honest wear you are putting on this jacket. And hell, if a mountain lion wants to take a bite out of these sleeves, let'im. Looks like they will protect your flesh and bone.

Yeah! Thanks. If I have a jacket that is legitimate armor, like this one, I will use it for that purpose. It is also great for walking through branchy brush, like when I got lost off trail in Bryce Canyon Park Utah. The trail was covered in snow and then I found myself in a dried up stream bed many miles from the road. I had to basically bush whack my way out and the sun was setting in a lonesome forest. It wards off vegetation easily, you don't even feel it. If I had a down jacket or a synthetic jacket in that situation, they would have been ripped and haggard for sure. Because this is thick chromexcel, any heavy scratches can just be rubbed out if I don't want them to remain. This jacket takes abuse and just asks for more. It doesn't phase it.
