ooooo you are going to need some fenders on that bike quick, from the way you've described roads in your area. Wet jeans, boots, & mud splatters all over otherwise.

I was a daily cycling commuter in Chicago for more than 15 years, & the fad in that time for stripped-down racing-style bicycles on pot-holed US city streets I always found funny - it would be like trying to drive a F1 to work in rush hour. But at least you have the fat tires needed to handle rough pavement.

I bought steel full fender, but it was NOS , and dusty and in yellowing white, looks like nobody want white fender since 1980... was cheap too, it is a project for a long weekend... mounting full steel fender designed for girls bike, to a mountain bike frame. I bet it would be fun with lots of swearing.

From the photo i also see the chain is sagging, so i gave it a good pull, to make it real straight, before speedbumps knock it off, and i go brakeless into a gutter.

Still the best-looking Comet on this forum.

I love how short the jacket is. That plus the faded jeans and shades just oozes cool.

Thanks for the words of kindness! The jacket is just a tad too short, though. It ends right at/slightly above my pants line, while I would have wanted it to hit just below. An extra 0.5 to 1 inch would've made this jacket an absolute 10/10. Other than that, I love everything about it. The Vicenza leather is on a whole 'nother level.

Yeah I agree that technically, it should probably be slightly longer. Of course, a pair of higher rise jeans could solve that as well unless you find them uncomfortable. I think that imperfection of it being short is part of what makes that outfit work. We're far more used to seeing jackets that are too long and in the full context of the outfit, the slightly-too-short jacket looks more effortless and cool.

^ yeah I agree, when a jacket is broken in (or the whole outfit is) then perfect fit matter less, probably when brand new it looks glaring, but if you just keep on wearing it and one day it doesn't matter and just look cool.
