This RP-Ward cross zip fits me fine but it's best for someone two size smaller. The flap chest pocket is a bit too high due to my build. Judging from many old photos of cross zips, those guys definitely sport it oversized.

May just be the style of the jacket. Post another pic. The upper patch pocket may not work for you. Some jackets just look better in different sizes. I don't have a RP jacket this old, mine are more "modern" early 50s.

That jacket looks cool, hope we can see more of it. Did not know you had it fully restored. Congrats to you and Dena

I’m a 38 :)

If it's too small on you, I'm a 36 hahaahah

Layering up today with a Mister Freedom Ranch Blouse and a Joe McCoys Welders Jacket.

Really awesome combination here! I really like how all the colors work together as well. I am not usually that good with the color-match esp. when fades are involved.

If you ike the welding jacket concept but are put out a little by the price of this one, try something like on the link below. It will be a durable jacket, we have dozens of them around where I work.

Here is a Ralphs-Pugh Steerhide c.1950. From the estate of Harley Racer and Dealership owner in Northern California. Looks like his racing days were pre WWII. View attachment 336186 View attachment 336187 View attachment 336188 View attachment 336189 View attachment 336190

Wow, that looks awesome, the grain on that steerhide is really popping. And the jacket looks in remarkably good shape for its age and still has the fur collar too! Plus it looks to be a good fit on you too… another winner there. I like the way the belt is designed - leather covered buckle with no tang, means finer range of adjustment and nothing to scratch the motorbike tank…

Yay! It came! Inner tag says size 36, outer tag says 34. Size is definitely closer to a 34. I think it fits OK. It's a little tight about the chest, but wearable. Jacket was basically new with tags, so there might be some room for it to break in. I would've gone for a 36 if I had the luxury of choice, but for around $420, I think I did pretty good here. Leather looks like it is some sort of Veg-tan - leather on the inside pocket is a little lighter than everywhere else. Really incredible details and stitching!
