Great physique also makes the jacket looks great on you, @ton312 knows that. That's why almost every jacket he got looks great.

Agreed. Such a look may not solve all your problems but those around you can appreciate the view as you go about working on them. Well done Ton, and all those with attractive variants of their own.

This looks spectacular. Tbh, it looks better than some of your 2K$ custom made jackets. I love it. Nice grain too. Great find.

Also, nice too see something other than American designs. European designs are just as cool.

Thanks Marc! I was really surprised in a positive way after unpacking the parcel and seeing such a high quality gem. Price wise I wasn't sure if I should take it as I had no experience with Harro but it's definitely worth the 115€ (incl. shipping) what I paid for and it feels more like a 1k€ jacket - not really worse compared to a RMC or an Aero /SB tbh.

Great jacket, Robbie. You got the European equivalent of the best made, rarest Durable or Buco or Rich Sheer. Know this.

Thanks, Monitor! I wasn't aware of it - just got lucky that I found this one on German local Ebay as it looked quite nice but thought that quality isn't as good as it really is!

That fit is insane! Such a cool design and the leather looks thick and solid and beautiful. 10/10 can't be improved upon.
Many thanks!! Appreciated! I hope your Harro will work out for your as good as mine! Keeping fingers crossed and I'm looking forward to fit pics as soon as you received it!

I keep saying that for years; Harro is the best. If Harro is worth $80 on today's market, Schott should be like $15, Aero $35 and Vanson $55.
@Monitor Your numbers do sound dramatic but you're definitely not wrong with your assumption and Man, do you know ALL brands on earth??? You can give feedback on every single brand like Harro, Engelbert Vanek. Impressive!

wow, really cool fit even kinda fashion forward too, and leather looks great too, congrats!
@navetsea Thanks very much! It's definitely far away from a fashion jacket but when wearing it I feel like wearing a avantgarde fashion jacket in a positive way as it looks somehow special and not everyone wears such a jacket.

Wow!! Man that absolutely is the best fitting jacket you own and I dare say one of the coolest I’ve ever seen posted here. Look at that back design!!! That is nothing short of incredible!
@ton312 Thanks very much. It feels really comfy like custom made and much better than most of my custom made Aero jackets.

Great jacket. Congratulations
@MrProper Thanks, man, I also appreciate your positive feedback!

Looks perfect like a made to order piece. Love how clean this looks and the subtle padding on the shoulder/elbows. Congrats on another beautiful piece
@Jin431 Thanks very much! It does just feel perfect in every way including the length of the jacket as I'm still struggling with the Tauber's length as much as I like this special one!

Very nice, now you need a motorbike ;)
@58panheadfan Thanks a lot! No way, someone at home would kill me if I had another expensive hobby! But who know what happens in 5 years...

Just got this yesterday. The Leather Shop by Sears. Not too bad for <$100. Anyone know when these were made?

I'm actually surprised you weren't aware of Harro, what with hailing from Germany & all, as they used to be extremely popular in most of Europe, being considered a cult classic nowadays & standing shoulder to shoulder with Dainese and Lewis Leathers. These were the three giants and the only real players in the motorcycle scene during the 60's & 70's. Harro having the most elaborate & fanciest styling of the three, taking cues from the classic German leather jacket styling, same as LL did with British, which was much less gaudy and more of a... Well, working person's clothes.

You're rightfully comparing Harro to Real McCoy's or whatever, really. I've had many of their jackets though it just so happened that I had to sell them all - First two didn't quite fit me and the last two were associated with my ex and were just painful reminders of her and a shitty end to a shitty relationship. But each was a gem with details & features surpassing anything I've seen from any US or UK maker - No offence intended of course; I personally prefer classy simplicity myself in a leather jacket but it is neat to see what a good maker is capable of producing and how much more can be done with a leather jacket.

Anyway, as brands don't mean much to me, when I got into this past time, I'd just buy whatever I liked and that's how I got to learn about European brands. There's an equal amount of history right here, just waiting for some Japanese fellow to write a book about it. :)

But yeah, Harro is a diamond grade maker and you'll be hard pressed to find two that are alike. At least from the era we're talking about, which is where your jacket belongs. You'll see as you buy more. Later on, sometimes in the 80's I think (not sure on the numbers), they got rid of their classic design and began producing stuff like Polo and Hein Gericke does and that was the death of them.

There's a maker in Germany right now that's reproducing Harro's most classic design, a mandarin collar cross zipper with fuzzy lining.

Anyway, my favorite Harro jacket and among top 3 I owned...

I hav

e the exact same one, but mine doesn’t feel like horween, it’s a lot softer and like calfskin, has a top coating feel to it.
@regius I didn’t mean the feel of Horween, just the heaviness and leather thickness. Yes, it’s really soft as you said. Perhaps you can post yours, too. Thanks!

Good question. I think if I was a motorcycle rider I would definitely have known the brandname Harro before. Why did you sell your Harro jackets? I hope not the one you posted here? It looks fantastic! When reading your post and when wearing and looking at my Harro I'm more and more starting to think why "the hell" have I spent (and still I do) so much more money on much more expensive leather jackets....somewhat strange feeling....I'm sure the feeling is gone tomorrow when I wear another (more expensive) jacket but there wasn't often a jacket which felt perfect like this - with the Brimaco (I actually wore it during an evening walk today with family) I bought through Vinted for 89€ I had the same feeling but the leather on the Harro is way better!

The Himel Brothers Wolverine jacket is getting some sun. Really love the the shine and color play of the cowhide...

@Ole K. Vik Looks fantastic your Hulk / Grizzly combo! I'm always glad to see Grizzlys in the wild and the Himel version is my favorite one - I ordered a Thedi version at least twice but have always changed the order to another one as I don't have the "cochones" to wear it!

Bit of a cheat since it's too warm to wear a jacket today (I actually have gym shorts on), but I wanted to show off my Aero grizzly I got yesterday. My first Aero, and I hold this forum and its members directly responsible for this purchase!

All this Harro talk makes me really look forward to my Harro arriving. I can only hope it’s half as good as the one you got!

This is cool! What is it? At first I thought model A but collar doesn’t jive.
Sportster, no b/c windflap. I’m stumped.
Extremely modified 141.

Didnt know what I was doing back then. Bought a 40, needed 38. Website said I needed a 42 lol. So tailor took in a bunch and I sewed up the action back. Another thing I really didnt understand.

He did great job on the cut, but stitches little sloppy. Love this naked aniline leather though.
