118. Bought this almost exactly 1 year ago. Was either my first or second "real" leather jacket. It's a 40. Probably could squeeze into a 38 as there's a lot of give on these with the shoulder gussets and underarm footballs. But it's good I have at least 1 jacket where I can layer a little.

Crazy to think I've bought and sold like 25 since then. Craziness. Someday I need to settle down to like 7 or 8 I think would be good. 1 for each day of the week and maybe an extra one or two for fun stuff or special circumstances, etc. i.e. B3 when it's cold, yada, yada. We'll see what happens. Been fun in the meantime.

This weekend two scores came in. Unfortunately one didn’t work.

First the one that worked. This generic Levi’s Sherpa in fake suede or rather a rayon mix. Fits amazingly well, perfect and trim, and surprisingly warm. Best part was the price. 60 dollars all in(including shipping)

Next is my Five Star. I’m actually pleasantly surprised with its quality and finishing for the price. There’s been a lot of Five Stars around here and I haven’t seen a suede trucker. For 130usd I like it an awful lot. Unfortunately if anyone saw me post about it a few times I was quite certain the measurements wouldn’t work and I sadly was right. It’s much too big. To be honest I know I’m a small guy, but this is THE Biggest Extra Small I’ve seen. Shawn must make sizing based on the assumptions that all Westerners are ummm “big.” Haha. I’ve done some measuring and took a ton of photos and numbers to send to him, including photos and measurements of this Levi’s that fits. Plan is to send it back and put that 130 towards a custom. Obviously will update the group as I go along.

All things considered for 130 I was happy and knew it wouldn’t fit. I look at it as a fit test jacket. The 60 all in on that Levi’s makes up for it.

Also sorry for the background photos. My fiancé was cranky and over taking photos for me at that point and said you do it here and now or I don’t help haha. My living room is dominated by our Frenchie Gretchen. She has multiple beds and all the toys. And scratch that my living room isn’t dominated by her, my entire house is; I just live here.

Man you aren't kidding. That's a really big XS! How tall are you again? And is it just the pictures or arm the armholes really large? When your arms are out it looks like the jacket could use higher armholes for sure.

Other than the crappy fit, you like it? Leather seem good enough?

Welcome to the 5* family my friend! Excited to see what custom design and leather you go with! Gretchen is a cutie, you are living in her world!

So I take it that the Aero Premier is a slimmer fitting version of the regular highwayman? Is the Sheene a more slim cut or at least slimmer in the waist compared to the Premier?

I have the same problem with lots of jackets. If it fits in the chest and shoulders, most likely too much material in the waist.

Yes that's the case the premier hwm seem to have a smaller shoulder/higher arm hole/ slimmer sleeves/tapered body for a less boxy look but it's still a boxy fit for some like myself. The sheene is a cafe racer pattern with a shirt collar so it's broad on the chest/shoulder then slim waist/bottom hem, I feel the sheene will agree more with your body shape personally.

Yes! This leather is really so nice no wonder it's your favorite. Thank you for sharing this again! I'm not at the perfecto style jacket street yet but man does it look so good when properly sized! Congrats!

Vanson E. Just picked up out of storage. This is a softer, gentler CW. I really like it. A tad long for my riding tastes but it is so soft that it isn’t bothersome. Plus, when I reach for my bars I tend to sit up straighter.

Looks good! Do vanson offer veg tanned jackets? I think when you guys mention comp weight that's a heavy chrome tanned hide.

Same jeans, different jacket

Those jeans again, the repairs look really cool on those! Love the jacket too, I probably won't need a leather coat ever but you can never tell in life lol

Was asked for more detail shots of the Freewheelers Speed Master

I'll echo @Monitor here, definitely the top at the cafe racer list for me! That's just nice! Love the chest pocket placement and the sleeve zippers look perfect here. The back design is something I've never seen on a CR before, reminds of the leather toggs back which is the best designed back for me

Armholes are large. A little over an inch in the chest. A little over an inch in length, and probably 2-3 inches in sleeve length. I knew all this going in but never owned a trucker or suede jacket so I said let me try this and see how it all works in reality and how it sits and drapes when actually on. But in terms of numbers the biggest extra small I’ve ever seen. I’m just under 5’8 and just got weighed today and I was 131lbs. So like I said a fairly small person but most Smalls in any maker fit better than this extra small.

Thanks, man. Has a very interesting back which I wasn’t sure was going to work but luckily it did.

The Sheene is V-shaped; it´s basically a Café Racer with a collar.

The HWM is boxy by design. The premier line retains the basic shape but slims it down, "as if" it had been designed in the 1930´s and not in the 1950´s.

The Sheene will actually have roommier arms with lower armholes and probably wider shoulders.

Just realize @Jin431 has already said exactly the same. Apologies...:)

Actually probably just this jacket but with custom numbers. I’ve been wanting a suede trucker for awhile but they either are super cheaply made or way too expensive. Well super expensive for never having owned one before and not knowing what I wanted. Which is why even though I was pretty certain this would be too big I was ok with it. I’ve had jackets in the past where the numbers said they should or shouldn’t work but then they did or didn’t because of how the material drapes, how they were cut, and how they were stitched. So I said ok, let me see all that about this; I’ll either be surprised and all those factors means this will fit and if it doesn’t now I know and have a base to work off of. If Shawn quotes me a good price to redo this; then I’ll be getting just this but with the right numbers.

Got it, I feel the same with all these great suede jackets showing up a lot. That mustard colored FW trucker that Jake has or the rust trucker Aero that Robbie owns comes to mind with this cut. Looks like Marc just got a nice suede Levi's too. It just might be suede season time. Hope you get a good deal from Shawn at 5*.
