I've played with a few of those, and like them as well. Great bargain at the very least.

That looks pretty sweet! Interesting the front drop. The leather does look heavy in the pics i am surprised its not. Great jacket for the bike im sure. Have a great trip! It has been so cold up here first day almost 50 degrees F might take the new cop bike for a spin

See edit in original post. It weighs over 7 lbs. Hope that helps.

yeah, this one is similar to my Levis, although I'd give slight edge to Gap apples to apples. That lighter tan brown one I also got though is in another world. Different kind of leather. Like a waxed pull up. Has like 10 different shades of brown popping off it. I'm really trying to make the XL work but it's a battle. If I ever see one in Medium, I'd gladly pay $300 for it.

In an effort to try and find a light weight leather jacket that is practical on a tropical island I had this Five Star Sunset copy made out of lamb skin, since they already had the pattern. Its...eh. Wish I could find a civilian jacket made out of "Capeskin".

I don't like the "capeskin" of 5 *. Out of it I have a vest that I never actually wear. But the deerskin is very comfortable to wear. this is certainly suitable for a thin civilian jacket, even if it is "plated".

if you plan to remake this one, maybe update the sizing a little bit, this one looks big everywhere the sleeve is also low and big until twisting on your upper arm.

Vanson Model E, I'm not sure why it's the best biker jacket I've ever had, is it the fit, the weight of the leather... somehow it all adds up to make it the best.

Vanson knows how to make a biker jacket. Prettier jackets. Better leathers. More features. More variety. Plenty of “better” and plenty of options out there. But Vanson just knows how to make a great bike jacket.

High praise there for Vanson. I have Models A, B, E, F, IKE, Enfield and Thunderbird so I definitely have an emotional connection to the brand lol but I must say that the Model E is my favourite. Not sure if it's my all time biker (double rider) jacket though..... definitely up there.
