Wearing leather for the first time in weeks. It’s simply been way too cold here lately so the only thing keeping me warm enough has been my Norwegian wool sweater and Schott pea coat. But today! Today it was only -1C/30F so happy as a kid on Christmas I slapped on a thin (!) wool sweater and my Hooch Hauler.

The photos make me want to create a new search in eBay.

It's a disgrace you don't have one already! XD Seriously nice jacket and albeit shinier and softer, HH is quite similar to now-no-longer-my Speed Demon.

@ton312 it just might be, tho my first HH 618 was pretty nice, too. But this one is really beautiful and only getting better. Slowly, though.

I have been to Warsaw three times, beautiful country. View attachment 309767
It's true, but 90 percent of Warsaw was demolished and razed to the ground (this is Hitler's revenge for resistance). It was rebuilt right after the war. Colloquially speaking, Warsaw is a reproduction now. personally, I prefer Krakow which has survived in its entirety and is 100 percent original city together with Wawel, Wawel is the pearl of the crown, the icing on the cake , Kazimierz too, it is an old Jewish district .

Off topic, but “Alchemia” in Kazimierz ist in my top-3 of pubs worldwide. Part due to the polish lady that introduced me to the place but mostly - well because it’s just a great place!

I did not know that fact about the Israeli War, but will research it. And discuss it with my wife. She is knowledgeable about polish history and enjoys talking to me about it.
the story is very simple and easy to explain because most of the Jewish population in Israel at that time was Polish, they came from Poland .;)

I don’t remember the names of the bars from my visit to Kazimierz (one night only during a week long trip) but the whole district was a very special place in a very special city.

I do remember ordering zapiekanka from a little vendor- my polish friends got a kick out of asking me to be the point person when ordering even though they each spoke 5 or 6 languages.

Today we’re on the downward slope to very cold (for New Orleans) so no leather for the next few days. We’re actually going below freezing and expect to see ice on the roads!
