It looks great indeed and not to mention the warmth. I'm sure it's way too much for the weather you have there but you can get one in case apocalypse is coming :D

Yes, the mouton collar should look/feel at home for the next few weeks when it's a little cold. When the zombies do come for us, I'll wear my CXL jacket for a little added bite protection lol

What weather do you usually have? The great thing about shearling is that it regulates the temperature well. I always have a nice, dry warmth in contrast to down or other materials that make me sweat quickly.
and if it's not cold enough, i recommend a shearling vest, which i often wear at home when it's a little cooler.

Very mild. No snow, it rare when we have a good rain. I can wear a t shirt outside for a good 8-9 months of the year and wear jackets with light layers from Dec-March. If I drive 3 hrs up North during the winter I can see some snow and wear shearling jackets but I rarely do that. . . . because it's cold lol (and the pandemic)
JL my go to local leather maker advised me not to get one because it will get little to no use at all even in San Francisco where it's much colder

Yes, I can confirm that Aero offers the STF Bootlegger with a mouton collar per request (I have one). This would be non-removable though...

Ahh got it, maybe the removable fur collar is just for the j106/Ridley or other MC jackets they have. I like the Thedi like removable collar so it's more wearable for most times of the year

Catching the last couple rays of sunlight before 4 - 5 days of clouds and winter storms. in the process of getting new glasses too. Taylor Leather police jacket - a bit too large even over a sweatshirt. Cold morning ~ 8F / -13C here in Iowa.

Thunderbird cowichan arrived today. Pretty sweet! I really love these sweater/jackets. They are just insanely warm. The best part is the “Jaws in 3-D” trading card in the pocket.

Edit: Some better pics. Really love this one. The last of the cowichans. I have to stop or I’ll have a dozen of these and not know what to do right quick.

'Here is the Natel jacket. I am a bigger guy, so my jackets are not going to look as sexy as many on this forum. It is like brand new. Paid $100 for it. Would appreciate any feedback on this brand and whether it was a good purchase in the eyes of the experts. Many thanks!

$100 for a Natel is a good price, for sure. It's hard to say, but I think it looks like yours isn't made from the same super thick 5 oz leather that the ones I've handled firsthand have been made with. Yours looks like it drapes more like a lighter weight leather. It also looks like it has a removable liner, which is different from most that I've seen from the maker.

LOL. Might have to watch TR tonight. Anyway back on subject...Brave Star Sherpa for me today. I ordered this cone mills when they released it it December. I have to admit I really like these guys. They are super affordable and I’ve never been let down in four jackets.

Don't understand how I missed this. Might possibly be the nicest, best looking sherpa trucker I've seen, hands down. I want one!!!

I was thinking of getting a goatskin jacket, how's the leather on that one? How thick is it? Is it a warm jacket?

It’s my favourite leather. Thickest leather I’ve ever had, thicker than Aero CXL. Not stiff at all, feels soft and drapes really well. Super nice grain! This is an old Swedish jacket from the 50’s. I think vintage Swedish 50’s and 60’s are usually pretty nice. The couple 70’s jackets I’ve handled have been thinner and felt more plasticky.
This one has a wool blanket liner. It’s not very warm. You need layers if it’s cold.
