Happy New Year everybody!
This morning I got out to the old Alameda Naval Air Station to snap some photos. It was decommissioned in the 1990s and many of the old hangars have been taken over for commercial use. St George Distillery, the creators of Hangar One Vodka, are based there among several other craft brewers and pubs.

Here is the USS Hornet, an aircraft carrier that was built during WWII and remained in service up until 1970. These days it is a museum and pretty amazing to see if you get the chance because the scale of it is just baffling
View attachment 297050 Next to the USS Hornet are the SS Grand Canyon State, SS Keystone State, and the SS Gem State, three crane ships that are kept on a five day ready by the US Navy.

I don’t think this beauty needs any introduction but in case you haven’t seen her before this is my 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo.

Man these last couple pages have set the bar high for 2021. Happy New Year loungers. I would post my jacket today but it was little more than a hoody and blanket as I somehow needed to nurse a mild hangover combined with that mixed emotion of joy and sadness as I threw the Christmas tree out the living room window this AM. Little full, lot of sap.

If you ever hear someone in an electric car honk at you in your ‘72 Monte Carlo while on 280, the 101 or El Camino Real, it is purely out of utmost respect and sheer envy. You got the ultimate kit, my friend!

Breath of fresh air today down at the Mississippi River. Maybe too much fresh air, the little one and I tried to hide from the breeze to little avail. Bravestar 21.5 oz Type III

Happy New Year everyone, I hope you’re able to get a fresh start on those things that need it, and keep going strong where you’re already rockin it.

What is a breeze for you and me is a hurricane for our little ones. And when they get older, what is a breeze for them becomes an uphill battle for us.

Currently wearing this Bill Kelso Duke in Victory Horsehide that I snagged on ebay a few months ago. Very nice jacket, but I'm glad I got this for ~$500, and not the eye-watering 1850 pounds ($2530) it goes for on their site. These pictures were taken in October, and some nice patina has developed on the collar and underarms since then. I'll have to take some more pictures when I have access to better lighting and a camera assistant.

That looks great on you, your dog seems to agree too. Great pick up and the price is hard to beat! Hope you get to take photos while layering up, this jacket is just asking for it. Congrats

Same sentiment if that happens in the 24 and 680 corridors.
Thanks for all the love guys. That is one of the nicest things about driving my car to be honest, it puts a smile on the face of almost everybody who sees it.

Thanks! Not a lot of room for layering in this jacket. It was labelled as a size 34 (true to my size), and its a pretty snug fit overall. I can manage a thermal long-sleeved shirt or similar, but I couldn't do a sweater or a hoodie. I would've preferred maybe an inch more about the chest and the waist for ease of movement, but I've been enjoying wearing it pretty much all winter, and It's been warmer than I would've expected.

That is great that you can keep warm with just a slim thermal. Too bad about not being able to wear a sweater but oh well you can't have everything, right!? You donwear that jacket well.
