After looking at the pics an reading your experience with the fit it is easy to agree with you Mr. Proper. I see the tension in the pic and that length is a preference one that isnt mine, is it yours? Imho Having a jacket that you can only wear unzipped to feel comfortable in is a no go. Unfortunately I will bet that you selling this one is inevitable. If it was me I would mentally come to terms with it and then post it! You can use the money to build another, any style, any hide, hardware, almost any maker. Enjoy

Thanks for your thoughts.
Yes, 2 cm more length would be my thing. I have it on my Ridley and I'm satisfied. In my mind I wrote it off anyway ;-) But I like to wear it in between, because it is also very beautiful and well made. Maybe my son will be happy about it in 10 years lol
Due to its size, it won't be sold, at least at an acceptable price. And then I'd rather keep it. A new jacket is about to be ordered.

Got this Belstaff Cougar about 7 years ago- after Belstaff got bought out but before they turned into a fashion brand. As solid a jacket as any other piece I’ve had and lighter weight so perfect for SoCal.

I hear you!

Got a “Panther” and a “Gangster” from way back, when they were British. Will never let them go. Then I have two or three from the period you mentioned: new ownership but retaining some of the old design classics and trying to maintain the old standard.
Eventually I bought one of the new stuff and was so disappointed in the quality of the leather, that I started looking around for other makers. That was when I found TFL.

Need to dig out some of the stuff.

Had to run some family affairs up north. 400 miles in the car and away from the office in a time of the year with crazy workload. Got rewarded with great weather and a stroll along the mighty river Rhine. Guess what: Love that jacket! I must be getting old...

Thanks. I saw you mentioned looking for a M. With your weight loss, I worry it may be too big? Mine is a custom 43. Isn’t that in between a M and L? I need to find my email chain with Constantine.

I think M will be too wide, too - I'm approaching The Machinist look right now - but S might be too short so I dunno, I'll have to make do with M and stop freaking losing weight.
