Thanks guys, I am overwhelmed by the love and positivity.
I will wear it with confidence, collars up!
I will however cancel the sports car down payment, and my partner will be pleased that I will not be trading her in!
Whitters:
First rule of mid-life crisis is not..deny..deny..deny. It is..embrace..embrace..embrace.
Reaching back and embracing something that is meaningful, missed or imagined is not wrong, it is good therapy for the soul.
Anyone who has graduated through that mental demographic knows that and only those yet to graduate express concern that is just opinion and uncertainty of person.
So i say f**k all that s**t and march to that drum beat within. Pop that collar with pride and know there are a ton of wannabes that will be lookin and learnin.
Great jacket. Great look.
And you do resemble Lou Reed rip.

That jacket is absolutely stunning @Robbie79 thanks for sharing.

It starts out so blue, but I love how much green is in it right now.
@dudewuttheheck Thanks for your positive feedback. If I could change one thing on this jacket, it would be the colour of the cuffs and collar which I would change to grey (perhaps dark grey) as I think it would perfectly match. That's the reason why I tend to offer it on Classifieds. This jacket is offered by Mushmans Japan from time to time as you probably know. Just in case, Theodoros also offers Ortensia Badalassi.

sorry for the terrible pictures and pose. Asked the fiancé to take a few right before we left and she was not in the mood for TFL shenanigans haha. Anyways I’m wearing my Schott 618HH. Since it’s not beefy or built to the nuts but has “the look;” I’ve turned into my punk rock jacket. Have pins on the lapels. Wearing my fan made DJ Strummer shirt in Clash Pink. A Pigeon Tree belt. It’s his version of Red Wing Black Prairie leather. Will chip and fade to brown. To match my Red Wing Blacksmiths in Black Prairie. And my Joe Strummer “Punk Rock Warlord” bandanna as a mask. We’re going to safely grab a few drinks with friends. If I don’t have to many I may try to take some proper pictures. Have a great night TFL.

Vanson Ike in comp weight steerhide today for the Saturday morning Harley ride. Fairly cool kick off at 7C !
The jacket is just starting to conform , and it has been getting "a bit of love" lately before our impending SUMMER.
For then it will be too hot , and will be an evening jacket at most (if that). Just a Gildan long sleeve T under it today.
Indian Ocean backdrop ( snore , yawn etc haha..)

Good morning folks I need your collective advice.
Yesterday I received my first MC jacket (purchased via classifieds, thanks think zot)
When I first starting coming here I did not get this style of jacket, however as time wore on and seeing you guys all looking so very cool, my mind has been changed.
The epiphany jacket was the flat head double rider that was for sale (slightly too big) but since then I have been smitten.

So my question is, can I wear this without screaming mid life crisis?
I generally prefer collars up on jackets (product of eighties teenager), but with this style can it be done... View attachment 256634

The mid life crisis stuff is a bunch of BS. I guess I'm past that at 68. I've worn leather jackets since I was 15, but didn't own or have any interest in the Cross Zip Motorcycle style until I got here several years ago. Since I didn't ride I thought I couldn't wear, another bunch of BS.

You got a beauty and you wear it well. There is a chorus here telling you the same thing and that isn't BS.
