One of my favourite jackets once the weather turns cooler: Fitzrovia jacket in olive green corduroy by Old Town. Sadly no longer available, this is a ‘20s influenced design with neatly profiled lapels with revers, trademark cuff shape

, flapped pockets, and figured back. Great fabric that can only be described as plush... Paired today with High Rise trousers (Old Town) in black canvas.

Late afternoon now and very wet in Bristol city centre, but with the collar flipped this is really warm, dry, and comfortable. Every summer I forget how much I enjoy wearing this jacket. Definitely one of Will Brown’s best designs, can’t think why it’s not still available.

Hmmm, jackets that you can't wear in the rain are pretty useless round here, I wear all mine in bad weather including my S.F.A.D. B-3, which really is a sponge.
Yeah, I'm quite the same. Let the leather dry out for a day and treated it to a slight layer of leather conditioner. Looks, feels and smells great:)

Giving my new clothes finds from yesterday their first day of wear. Starting with an Ike of a different color.

Jaymar Sportswear wool/poly blend that came with a matching belt. I'm guessing 70s.

Along with a pair of US Army wool serge pants that appear to be cut from the 1937 pattern and a wool shirt that was cut from the 1940 pattern and delivered in 1941, if I'm reading the label correctly.

Aah, jacket weather,
Michael

Got this nice Willis & Geiger wool jacket off the ‘bay. Has an inner plaid wool lining (basically two layers of wool in one jacket) so it’s plenty warm. Front cargo pockets, side handwarmer pockets plus an inside wallet pocket with button closure. Really a well-made jacket with great styling and high quality construction.
I’ve added a replica RMS Titanic/White Star Line officer’s whistle to make this an “old school” ship captain-style “uniform” jacket.
