Custom Simmons Bilt - olive waxed cotton with Burgundy Clayton HH. I really love this one!

Another of my Cals. This one is thick as heck but not as dense feeling as my newest one. Real thick though. I need to wear it more to break in a bit. This is a roomier fit than my other ones for days like today. I have three layers underneath this thing for an hour or so ride north in the Florida cold.

Yup, that is the jacket and the collar is fixed. I won't really be able to start wearing it a lot until next week when it starts to melt here. We have had a month long cold snap here with temps well below normal. Winter is still trying to hang on up here.

The back is my favourite part.

You can tell by visual inspection that this one is probably thicker (collar, cuffs, waistband, etc.) but the newer jacket just feels more substantial when working with it. That is played out in weight, as the newer one outweighs this one by about 1/2 a pound. Though both are over 7 pounds. My other black LAPD is noticeably lighter at 6.4 pounds. No surprise given its thickness and feel. The brown one is much lighter than all of them, and again, no surprise there.

Off topic-- pic of me driving and trying to break in the Legendary Black Horse.

Greetings All:
Today...it’s a sleeper to me. I got this old horse awhile back and it just layed at the bottom of a stack lookin old dried out brown like lots do.
It went to the Pecards Spa and dried for awhile and boy what a nice horse came about.
I don’t know Kurland and i don’t know Star Sporstwear but i do know this jacket is in the quality of the gorgeous Windward i got from @tmitchell59 and it’s a keeper.
Be well. Bowen
