From EBay, a “new” Lost Worlds Suburban Jacket Size 48, chrome tanned HH.
My first taste of a LW. The measurements of the jacket should be on point for me (25.5 p2p and 21 shoulders) but this jacket fits me huge, And I can’t figure out why?...the sleeves and sleeve opening are way big also. I really like it though and I’m gonna keep it.
Anyone know if a hot water treatment will tighten up chrome tanned leather? If yes, Me and this jacket will be showering together soon.

The leather is really interesting with these grainy lines through out ( back panel)

Have you checked if these measurements are accurate or are they from the seller? My 48L Suburban has P2P somewhere between 26-27".

Stretchmarks. I usually see them on the upper sleeve or back panel. They're a good sign.

Anyhow, I doubt it you can shrink this kinda leather. I haven't handled a LW but I think I know this type of hide. That's as shrunk it gets. The soft, spongy leather can be tightened thru HWT but not this hide.

yes I verified the measurements.. 25.5 P2P, 20.5 shoulders..these are my measurements..

Anyhow, I doubt it you can shrink this kinda leather. I haven't handled a LW but I think I know this type of hide. That's as shrunk it gets. The soft, spongy leather can be tightened thru HWT but not this hide.

I agree with this—the pattern makes is very square shaped. And those sleeves are huge! However, it does give you carte blanche to drink lots of beer and do exclusively curls at the gym.

Right now in Chicago it's about to hit some serious ANJ-4 / N3-B weather... the HIGH temperature predicted for Wednesday is -25c / -12f. I've got a ratty old USAF N3-B, with reflectors, that's been a good friend in these scenarios since the 1980s. That said, this sale item is, at the moment, rather tempting:

Why didn’t I see that on the ‘Bay!?!? I’d have also snatched it up! You don’t see these big sizes very often.
Looks like a great “chore” coat kinda garment, something to just throw on over a sweater or fleece and battle the elements rather than a form-fitting cafe racer kind of jacket.

Quick selfies, then I gave it an Obenauf's run down. To be honest I can't stand the temporary greasiness/bee smell, but it's for the greater good.

Post-conditioner:

Mid-weight steer...Late 50s/early 60s?? Missing the breast zip puller, not in the greatest shape nor is the model wearing it. But I like that back.

Nice jacket. Good first post. Uhhh Colin has a current thread about Premiere 1/2 belt. There is def some advice to be taken from there.
