Oh nooooo!
However it looks sooooo incredibly beautiful! The OD stitching and the leather...

I think Aero will send you one, or even more, right away. And any tailor can easily repair that usually. Hope it's gonna be fine soon and we'll see some jacket-on-body-hang pics soonish.

Eeeh... That stinks! What are these buttons made from?

Corozo buttons.

Anyway, my wife actually said it's no reason not to wear it in the mean time.
So here is a quick and dirty snap. I need to tame the collar but apart from that it's a cracking jacket. The cordovan Vicenza is such an nice colour. It's a shame about the button but that's really a first world problem

Got this in the mail today. I think it's too long for me. He description on the auction was 24" back but it's more of a 25".
What do you think?

I think I'll probably let it go and you'll soon find in the classifieds. Some of the buttons are loose but I thought about putting dark brown fisheye buttons on this anyway...

I know you're looking for a little more cropped style to suit the high waisted trousers but you should bear in mind that this jacket objectively fits you perfectly. I think it's worth keeping for that reason alone, and you may find at some point down the road your style shifts away from the high waisted trousers a bit and this would really come in handy. I never sell anything because I'm lazy af, and so I've held on to basically every leather jacket I've ever had which is actually a ton, and I've finally miraculously come to the magical balancing point in my life where literally all of them inexplicably fit perfectly, though most were off at some point as I gained and lost muscle and my fit preference and style changed over the years. Luckily I always had good taste and never dabbled in really trendy stuff. I'm so thankful that I didn't sell them along the way, and I appreciate them all the more for it.

You will thank yourself in the future for keeping this jacket!

This one definitely does not fit as well as your DD jacket. I'm not sure if it's the length, but it doesn't look right IMO.

Thanks all for your honest opinions. The length comes down to 26“, so way too long.
I’m with DWTH here, I also think it doesn’t fit right. I truly believe that there will be a person who can wear it better and so, more often than me.
I’ll put it to the classifieds next week I guess. I got a good price, so I’ll pass it on for what I paid (about 350€). But I have to say that there are a few loose buttons. I would rather leave the repair, and probably the exchange of the buttons to the new owner as I truly think a fresh set of dark fisheye buttons could definitely improve this jacket’s appearance a lot.

I think you are doing the right thing, it doesnt fit you that well IMO and compared with your DD this jacket is sub par.
You deserve better if it's going to be your "other" jacket, maybe a shorter version of this model in brown from another maker would suit you well.
Good luck with the search.

Putting my LW G-1 through a rigorous field test; everything from cave spelunking to touring Albany in a pouring rain and then out to dinner with friends at a local steakhouse. This jacket is definitely up to the task!

If I didn't have such an incredibly bad luck with money, I'd buy it. I absolutely love this style and the leather speaks to me. Good luck with the sale!

My Lucky 7 Seven A2 at the War & Peace show. Sorry no pics from the show so you will have to settle for this old one. The first outing in about 3 years and fits less every time. Well I have just come back from my hols with a belly stuffed with good food.
Since this photo was taken Jacket has been re cuffed

They have ready contacted me and offered to send buttons and thread [emoji3]
PN,
What a bummer for a button to break on your new jacket before you even got to try it on once. I think your wife had exactly the right idea though, put the bad news behind you and get on to enjoying and breaking in this beautiful jacket. Well done!
