The lining on this jacket I believe is rayon backed with 3mm 100% wool fill so definitely warmer than just a cotton drill lining I bought this as a cooler weather jacket , was 12 °C this morning with only a cotton polo underneath its warm enough, currently 16-18°C in the shade ( I'm working from home today) and still wearing it zipped up, I find it does get a bit warm when I hit 20°C and upwards have to unzip it or not wear it at all ( time to switch jackets )

Sorry about low-quality images. This was a jacket I got a couple of years ago - from Beyond Retro - which I've started dabbling in again. Definitely another 80s/90s style. I was initially a little disappointed with the actual leather. It's waxier than I would've liked. But it's grown on me and it smells amazing.

After a 2 week stall at customs my Flat Head Cafe Racer courtesy of one of our TFL members finally was delivered (while I was interstate with work of course.)

Finally got to throw it nervously on this afternoon to see if it would fit.

I'm pretty happy....

A nice summer morning, and not too hot, so perfect for my wearing vintage Big E Levi jacket (circa 1968 - 1971). A tad short for the modern fashion taste (not that I've ever cared for that!) it nevertheless remains one of my favorite jackets. Teamed up with some old chinos and a baseball hat.

For what it's worth, that's pretty common on military dress uniforms, obviously to allow shiny buttons to be removed before cleaning the jacket so the buttons don't get mangled during cleaning, plus to make it easier to polish the buttons.
