What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Looks like a good deal to me, but it's not made by Taylor's - it is an import by the same maker of their imported jackets. I'd call them and talk to customer service - they have always been very helpful and straightforward about the sale jackets I've been interested in.

Another dad hand me down. I get the jacket. He gets the plane. It's three sizes too big and I love it. Waterproof af. The Chinese made Alphas are great utilitarian jackets!

I guess that makes sense. It's a fairly substantial feeling leather. I just picked it up today and I'm still trying to figure it out. There is no evidence of it ever having a label so I am wondering if it has been relined in the past. The current lining is showing moderate wear and there have been stitching repairs to both it's attachment and to the leather stitching. The leather itself is in really good shape. I rather like the look of it overall, if the sleeves are a bit short.

My new (2nd hand but near mint) Buzz Ricksons L2a - sadly the previous owner has replaced the Crown with a modern plastic Opti zipper. I intend to sort this with a modern #5 track and a wartime Crown size 5 puller I got from eBay. Fortunately the Talon on the sleeve is still present.
