Raining stair rods in Bristol this morning and thunderstorms forecast later today. Still the warmest, most comfortable leather coat that I have ever owned: Freewheelers Journeyman in jet black deerskin. With woollen ‘Canvey’ cap by Old Town (also pullover shirt by Darcy Clothing, Fairisle cardigan by White Stuff, navy moleskin Plains trousers by Old Town, and black Comfort Craftsman Boots by RM Williams).

Pretty great combo, sir.

My Thunderbay arrived. Goatskin was a good choice I think, it weighs 6.6 lbs, much less than CXL would. I asked for the minimum strip at the hem, which is 3 inches. Moria Mac did a great job, I'm very happy with it. It has black shearling in the body and black moleskin for the sleeves, which I don't find grabby so far, although I've only worn it with a t-shirt. The collar is very nice as well, it makes me want to send all my jackets to Aero to have mouton collars fitted... but that would be crazy. Sorry for the crappy indoor pics, it's raining buckets outside and I don’t have a proper camera. Thanks to @Peacoat , @rocketeer and @ton312 for their advice.

Eagleson's Police Jacket, circa 1950, maybe earlier. Some panels are stiff and lack grain, especially on the upper portions of the sleeve and back shoulders, while others are buttery soft and super grainy. Almost like different leather was used on different parts/panels of the jacket. I like it.
JL relined.

I've been hunting for a suede Schott Rancher in a size 42 for quite a while now. And I finally scored one-- just came in yesterday. The suede on these vintage Schott Trucker jackets is very thick and grainy. Best of all, the arms are a little longer than on the equivalent vintage Levis suede Type 3. Short, just like the typical Trucker should be. (Please ignore the hippie belt buckle...)

Not sure I've heard of this label. Nice looking Police jacket. Does it say Talon down the middle of the zipper stop? The pull looks to be square ended.

My new Aero Type 3 in blackened brown Vicenza arrived this afternoon. Fit is just about perfect and the leather has a nice soft hand that was comfortable from the first moment I put it on. It also has a wonderful smell almost as powerful as Horween CXL.
Apologies for the hastily snapped, poorly lit and posed photo. I will try to get some better shots of it this weekend because it is really something special.
