Funny how this jacket found me, initially thought I'd move it along but of course after reading about breaking in of Stu's HH's I had to accept challenge. Right!? Jacket w/ belt and spot work comes in just under 8lbs which I think puts HH between 3.5 and 4oz. Jacket IS conforming to my will ... I'll report back. Btw these pics are before it's reeducation had begun ...

Spent afew days in the Catskills mountains; mostly sunny and warm followed by sudden afternoon/evening rain storms with lots of thunder, lightning and temperatures plunging into the mid 50’s. LW goatskin G-1 (again).

And I put in a return request...The thing smells plus some other details which weren't up to snuff; ie a stain on the lining which is actually some sticky residue. Not a good jacket year.

Big Vanson convert here though. Basically the perfect jacket. If the seller refuses a return it's worth a lining clean.

Thanks, but tbh it's a nothing special riding jacket. I've just been very lucky with the fit, and because it's the only jacket I wear for riding it's been through scorching sun and freezing fog and pissing rain, which has all battered it into a lovely well-broken-in state. So it looks (and is!) lived in and comfortable.
