I am also wearing this new acquisition -- this is why I added gussets underneath the sleeve zippers:

Myself, I am more into three hands dress watches, in particular with arabic numerals, but boy, I have to admit, this is one gorgeous chrono! The dial and the details on it are outstandingly beautiful! I'm not gonna lie, I would be scared to actually wear one of those, though, gussets on sleeve zips or not. I bump into stuff by mistake way too often..

The Himel looks and fits great, too, however I feel that the pattern could do with broader shoulders.. i think i like RMCs take on this style better for that very reason. Might just look that way because it is not broken in and you have it zipped up, though, because i just checked the pictures or your original J100 which imho looks much better on you and that one doesn't really have broader shoulders..

Watches! Now there’s an expensive hobby.

I am a recovering watch addict. I have considerably less money invested in watches today as compared to seven years ago.

That actually is a nice watch...

Thanks Ivan.

Now we are talking! What a beautiful watch!

Thanks Fonzie.

Thanks JJ. I used to be into dressier watches (Greubel Forsey, F.P. Journe, etc.) . . . when I wore suits to work five days a week. As I get older, I am getting much more casual with not only my watches, but also my clothing. Thus, I sold all but one of my dressier watches, and today I wear primarily casual watches. This new watch is an AP ROO Havana . . . I wanted a brown ROO to compliment my black AP ROO Jarno Trulli.

I am rather slender and, for my body type, I much prefer the narrower shoulders of the Himel as compared to the broad shoulders of the RMC. Don’t get me wrong – the RMC is awesome and, if I had broad shoulders, the RMC might be a better option.

@Superfluous how on earth do you choose between the Himel Kensington and the Vintage Buco J-100?

....is it like choosing which child to save from a burning building?

Have you done a side by side comparison between the two? It would be interesting to see how close the Himel is to an actual original!
