Very nice combo. It's great that you can layer with the Herc.

How tightly are these ordinarily fitted? This one is a 46 and I normally wear between a 38 and 42, depending on the era and cut. Unless this one has been shrunk I think I would have trouble getting into a 42.

Michael,
I believe that jacket must have shrunk a bit because my experience with Peacoats is that they typically fit pretty close to your suit size. No reason you should have to jump two whole sizes. Looks very nice by the way!

Thanks for the info and the compliment, El Marro. That was my thought too, but I don't really see any evidence like an excess looseness in the lining to give me that clue. But if they are normally pretty close to size in comparison to a suit jacket then it must have shrunk.

Thanks,
Michael

My eBay search finally came up trumps - bought this nearly new for £9.99 no other bidders? and it’s just arrived.

A movement to advance the civil rights of African Americans was steadily gaining momentum in the United States, and, though few people knew it, the country had already begun it’s slide into the abyss that was the Vietnam War. A popular Liverpool band called the Beatles was topping the charts in the U.K., but they wouldn’t make their first arrival in America for another two months. And barely a week before, the nation had been stunned and sickened when John Fitzgerald Kennedy was shot to death while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas.

It was December, 1963, and it was the month this old MA-1 left the assembly line at Alpha Industries, to begin its life with some now unknown Cold War airman.

Dude, you are always in a one leg stand looking to the right pose, I began to wonder maybe you are not a real person lol.

I used to do some model photography and picked up a few tricks. Looking head on at the camera can be disconcerting for people viewing your photos. Standing straight on generally looks less comfortable compared to standing as if you were in the middle of doing something (like stepping forward).
