Sadly, I can’t disagree. In fact, this has always been my first impression when I see a photo of myself in this style of jacket.

I think it's perhaps the length of the MC jacket. Chop off 2 inches and you're there. But enjoy the thing. I have found one of my joys in life to be my ever-increasing distance away from adolescence (where self-criticality peaks). That means worrying less about fitting a mold of what is expected. For an analogy of your jackets...When I was 16, I dyed my hair blue and sniffed glue (unintended consequence of listening to the Ramones...how stupid. Not because it was an expression of me; rather I was caving into an un-educated definition of "punk" which lacked any individial insight. As I grew older and wiser, I learned "to be thyself". Most of my brain cells remain intact. I MUCH prefer adulthood to adolescence. No nostalgia for me there whatsoever. I should have remained a plane geek and pursued an engineering degree rather than dick around with rock n' roll, but such are life's twists and turns. Lol. But without rock n' roll and the humanities, I'd be equally void of life!

Yes. As you probably guessed, looking comfortable in a “full-time” motorcycle jacket is a bit difficult for me because it really is a stretch from who I actually am...or at least who I’ve been for the last four decades. I’ve always admired those with the persona associated with the moto-culture, but I’m afraid it was mainly admiration from a distance. I was twenty-something years old the last time I actually owned a motorcycle or partook in any illegal substance. And most of my years since were spent stiffly buttoned up in a suit and tie.

Can't see any of the photos on my laptop or iPhone. But I do see the video.

This bums me out because I enjoy Terry's posts so much. Is anyone else having this issue?

^ I like that A2, @Atticus Finch. But I also liked the motorcycle jacket you took on a test run.

Do you own a cafe racer? If you're interested in dipping your toe in the moto jacket waters, maybe try wearing a cafe racer first. If that feels comfortable to you, then you might gain the confidence needed (in time) to go full-on Perfecto-style.

Also, if you're concerned about perception, maybe try a brown moto jacket instead of black. People seem less inclined to associate the brown ones with the stereotypical biker culture. Flannel and chambray shirts look great under both A2s and Perfecto-style jackets. A simple T-shirt is all you need under a cafe racer.

WOW! That jacket... with that fit... on you... is going to turn heads and make people take a second look. It did me.

I can't imagine that you will ever be able to find a more flattering jacket.

Be on guard though, you're going to be attracting attention from the wrong kind of women!

@BobJ Thanks!, I am pretty pleased with how this jacket fits, it really is a great, timeless style and I have gotten a few compliments...
