I have a question about the color of the lost worlds horsehide. If I want to get a strong patina and fade. Are there any options? Or will the black remain black, like schott, for example.

In fact, as I understand it, there are very few combinations where the leather is both heavy and capable of fading and patina. Horsehide or steer, doesnt matter.

LW will not show any strong fade or patina. These hides are tanned with the intention of maintaining the topcoat through everything you throw at it. What you can get in terms of "aging" is grain articulation of the HH.

The russet horsehide can show some minimal patina, but it's not CXL-style that patina's when you breath on it.

I own two LL sheep and love them for their softness and comfort. You can lose the LL logo if you order custom through Lewis. However, I've grown to really like the logo.

It’s actually just 14.5 oz. It’s the Wilkes fit from Freenote Cloth. I have a pair in the slubby black 17oz so these feel oddly smooth in comparison lol
