Today my blue cowhide leather trucker jacket. I love the relief that sunlight can give it. And since it's light, I can wear it even in warmer weather like today.

The short version.
Leather was outstanding

The cut was generous and accommodated the middle aged american.

The hardware was abysmal. The main zipper failed 6 weeks in. They were quick to accept a return.

It was my 2nd $2,000 + RMC jacket with a zipper failure. I’ll never buy another. Shame because everything else is great
Thanks for the information. The jacket is expensive but some people do like it. I have a HD museum repro made about 20 years ago using the same pattern. I paid about 700 USD I think. Not in the level of craftmanship as your jacket but not bad either. I think it could have been made by Schott?

Well If the zipper fails again, The NOS bell shape 5 talon is a good option. They are almost period correct as well as the conmars which were on my originals.

Brave Star canvas Sherpa-lined trucker, it fits a little bigger than my 22oz denim B.S. Ironside trucker in the same size (M), but I haven’t washed this one yet, so I think it’ll hit the sweet spot after that.
In saying that, this is a very comfy, grab and go fit for layering and it’s super practical and warm with the Sherpa/quilted lining.

I believe Brave Star offers great value in their trucker jacket offerings, IMO same quality as Iron Heart at half the price (Iron Heart International prices, that is).

I have been on the lookout for another leather trucker jacket for some time and didn't feel like dropping big $$$ on an Aero etc. So this Levis water buffalo hide trucker comes up f/s locally in my size so I went for it.
I have to say I'm impressed with this piece. The leather is quite substantial with a nice handle. The various grain structures are really interesting. The leather seems better than the cowhide Schott trucker I had. This jacket punches well above the $300-$400 CAN I paid for it IMO.
