Looks really nice. There’s not much out there on this one. Whats your take on the pattern and hide?
Thank you, in fact the DH are not commonplace in the western world and are rather rare. The HH leather from Nitta Tannery is stunning and of the highest quality. The veg tan semi-aniline leather has a solid top layer over a tea core. After a short period of wear, the grain has developed nicely. The leather is very uniform in terms of leather thickness but also in terms of grain. This makes it look very elegant and flatters this classic 30s style. The cut is a matter of taste, it has a slight A-shape. Some wearers like this cut, others less so. At the beginning I had to get used to this cut, which was wider and slightly longer in the lower section, but now I love it, it's something different.

Where did that Aero come from...?

Seriously, super jacket, both of them! The RC should be posted to everyone who recently claimed that CR´s were "boring"... If anything, they are harder to get right than other pieces.
Hey Tom!

It’s my fifth or so Aero, finally tried the standard highwayman and turns out short and boxy really works for me (I’m 5’9” or about 175 cm). I got it used, according to Denny at Aero it’s likely from the 90’s.

I think the 1950s halfbelt I had could have been a winner except the hide was just super thick, perhaps to 4 oz range, and not easy for me to move in considering I have an issue with my shoulder.

And yeah there are some details for the speedster that help set it apart from other CRs (outside of the incredible hide and fit of course lol). I mean what’s not to like?

Incredible leather on that jacket. Really like the back design as well!
