Vanson Chopper for today. It's a little loud for casual wear since I don't have a bike anymore, but still... I love this jacket. View attachment 567490
Please disregard my dirty mirror, haha.

That´s the only jacket that ever earned me the "Where´s your motorcycle?" comment. But since you´re feeling pretty invincible in the Chopper the comment bounced right off... :)

Love the hardware on yours. Got the nickel zippers, and that´s just about the only thing I would change...

Well, today, I feel like taking my automatic, systematic, hydromatic Greaseed Lightin’ to get some overhead lifters and four barrel quads, oh yeah.

Right!? You feel invincible when you're wearing the Chopper... bulletproof...
I used to have the nickel zippers version but it was a larger size, then I lost weight and sold it a few years ago. I loved the Chopper so much I ordered another one, this time a smaller size. I can't decide if I like the nickel or brass zippers more.

Finally got photos of my 50s Sierra Sportswear jacket. Overall fits me well, though it oddly pinches in the arm pits and the shoulders were hung improperly so that's quite annoying.

Another aspect of many vintage jackets I'm loving is the minimal or nonexistant front drop. Being a shorter guy with a large chest, this really suits me well.

This is the new release "limited" edition of as many pieces as they can possibly make? I think it looks far better than what I would have expected.
Yes it is. Its alright, got a few compliments here and there (unlike the Schott 618HH, which is a head turner apparently)

But for the price, you want something more than "alright", the leather is flimsy and thin and most of the thickness is really from the lining which is very thick and therefore very warm. Also the button that holds the belt loops keep going undone. Sucks.

It’s been this way everyday since they landed. I bought three Wranglar Wrange coats, one corduroy from Japan that’s a disaster and found a new with tag dead stock from the 70’s due this week. I was legitimately thinking about chucking all my leather at one point. Thankfully I weathered that mental storm as I’ll probably hate these next year. lol.

Next year being only a few weeks away, so sounds about right. ;)

Chi-town winter will be no match for your next stage of evolution:
