71F today in South Florida. Hope springs eternal that I will be able to wear this jacket out of doors one day. A red label Cal. The collar is almost as wide as the shoulders on this. Lol. Flaps ready for takeoff...:)

I've got one of those with the snap-on Mouton collar that totally does extend to the shoulders, it's great haha. Fit on yours looks great.

Last few days—

Hercules, likely Fried Ostermann. Great hide. Nice enough that I sold my CSC Herc.

Kurland. As nice as a vintage jacket can get.

Nice Trio! I believe I have determined the maker of that Hercules. Not Fried-Ostermann. I'm continuing to make the case. If true, this company made a a variety of jackets for all the catalogs.

Certain Sportclads, like yours, have the look of Shinki horsehide. They are in a class by them selves.

Please let me know the results of the Herc investigation when complete. Definitely interested.

The SC “Shinki” definitely feels and looks premium. Somehow found one that fits about as perfect as one could hope for my size and build. Pretty sure the seller found it in a Midwest barn too.
