This D pocket is a Ralphs-Pugh style of pocket. Very nice reproduction. RL does some very interesting redos. This one is most interesting.

It does seem unlikely but if I lose my arms or something I guess I won't need it anymore lolFirst dibs if you ever are foolish enough to sell this one!
The coolest part about this "phantom jacket" is the back. Only this one has the no gusseted fixed open eye back right?

Nah, you could convert it to a vest.
very nice!
Very nice. There’s just something about the old G-1’s.This jacket is pretty special to me. My Grandpa was a carrier pilot in the Canadian Navy, and wore this jacket as a young flyer. Then my old man wore it tearing around southern England on his motorcycle in the late 60's, and I've done the same on both coasts of this country. Today was just about walking to the Optometrist's office, but I felt pretty cool doing in! View attachment 501276

I’d wanna buy if it’s for sale.Love this Vanson (on a hanger). It’s unfortunately entirely too small. I did the usual mental gymnastics of trying to convince myself otherwise…but I suspect this will be back in the classifieds in short order. Shame as It’s an absolutely stunning heavy, thick mahogany batch of comp weight View attachment 500974
