How do you feel about it next to your 654?

Am I allowed to post two jackets in a day in this thread? . This is the Schott 654. As you can see it is very nice, longer in front than the Bates, and ever so slightly too large for me, that is why it is for sale!

I like that! I have a laptop sleeve, a pencase and a laptop rucksack in a green just a little darker; it's actually probably very similar to that jacket if it was made up like that and well worn in. I'm very tempted by the idea of a green jacket at some point, don't see many of them about in this sort of less earthy-shade. Nice.

Yep, damn shame. Tony had the ete for this stuff and he was also working in wool as well.

The interesting thing about Hercules too was that they were doing very much their own thing - it didn't look like a knock off of any of the existing big players, and they had a few models you don't see too commonly. I'd have liked to have seen a few more of them in the wild.

I'll follow your lead. My buddy is wearing his Brooks goldlabel. @Monitor told me these Brooks are only so-so. I think this one proves him wrong. The leather is spectacular.

Photo proves I need to move to the Netherlands, keep my Amstel cold in the meantime. Actually Ivan isn't wrong but that one looks exceptional. I had two exceptional Brooks myself but they are certainly not the rule in terms of hide. Fit always sublime though.

I have worn it a few hours at home(when received), two days outside.

You can see it is very A or bell shaped. It wears roomy but comfortable, doesn’t feel like I am wearing a jacket at all.

The deerskin is amazing. I got caught in the rain and didn’t cover myself. It made the leather less stiff and gave it some quick character. I managed to scratch and scar the leather without noticing on some spots but well it is meant to be worn.
