It looks plain in many pictures but it actually is a beautiful brown. I totally recommend it. It grains like the black but also shows surface wear in spots (pockets, belt loops, cuffs).

Yes, I am generally a 44 in LW for good fit, either in a t-shirt or with one lighter layer added. This is a 46 and my go-to jacket to wear thicker layers. All my LW work for me on the bike. This one has a bit shorter sleeves and doesn’t seal at the cuff like my other LW though. I have to wear longer gloves in colder weather. But in warmer weather the air flow is quite good, what with the apes and all.

Love the sleeves on that one. I was thinking along the lines. The way it fits you is spot on.

Finally got my "Marlboro Man" fixed. 30 degrees and a little windy so I took her out for a spin. Didn't wear the Ushanka though wore my Montana Peak instead.

Lost a bit of weight since this photo was taken.
Now that’s a winter jacket! Nicely done!

What Jacket Did You Bring to The Beach Today?

It is definitely the rainy season here. I was bumming out because I hadn't gone for a swim in a few days. The combination of cracked ribs and big surf kept me out of the water.

Feeling a bit more confident today I swam out past some pretty big waves cresting at 10 to 12 feet, with the winds at 25 mile per hour. it was a dark, cloudy and intermittently rainy day. There was no one on the beach, or in the water accept my favorite long board surfer/life guard. I swam past him and he challenged me to to do the freestyle stroke instead of my usual back stroke. it was exciting out there.

After my swim I put on my GW Mojave for a long walk on the beach, the length of the bay and back. I honestly can say that it was was a good day to wear a leather jacket in Hawaii.

These blanket wool half belts are awesome. Wish they make a comeback in the Polo line up again. I had a quilt lined one before that got too many moth holes and it was one of best winter jacket I've had. Very tempted to have one of my old Bay blankets sewn into one of these half belts.
How about this bad boy from Real McCoy’s! Wow!

very cool piece, another one for the collection! how does it wear compared to your Mulholland? Let's see the back too!

Thanks, Jib! This and the Mulholland do wear totally different. This one´s cut much slimmer than the Mulholland with higher arm-holers and a more boxy, less tapered cut. Sleeve lenght is approx. the same; body is probably 0,5 inch longer in the FW.

I don´t quite dare to say it, but I am still waiting for the Mulholland to fully grow on me...
