Huh! Good to know. Our government's approach to the pandemic was along the words of "Wear a mask, save others" while making it clear early on that they have no evidence of masks actually protecting the wearer. It was around that time that I've stopped paying attention to it altogether and just did what they told me to do.
I worked as a Staff Respiratory Therapist for 43 years, hands on patient care, ER to ICU, with every bug and virus known and not known. I wore a mask, gloves, etc constantly for every isolated patient and whenever in doubt.
I caught the flu only 2-3 times, was protected from countless other disease processes in all those years including Aids and CJD before it had a name, TB, on and on.
So...if you ask me i say “Wear a f***ing mask”!! Small price to save someone’s life.
But what do i know??
Ps: i’d rather wear a leather jacket than a paper gown with my mask.

I still have and wear the mask your daughter made for me, in the early days of the pandemic when there were no masks of any kind available on this island. Thank you and my thanks to your daughter as well.
I also got fully vaccinated as soon as it was available to me and am feeling just fine, though my daughter is concerned that I don't use enough sunscreen.
Peace,

My new to me, 50+ year old HD Sportster arrived a few days ago (found it on the Bay for $145 incl. shipping). Been conditioning it and cleaning the liner. Now to enjoy it! Crazy that such an old jacket still hasn't been fully broken in! At first I thought it was just that it needed a good conditioning, which it definitely did; but even after a couple coats of conditioner worked into it over three days it's still a lot stiffer than my Brooks CR or my HD CR / Apache (very thin, brown). I was also surprised how much thicker this one is compared to my brown HD CR. It's definitely the thickest of the three. Super psyched on the fit. Doesn't have the freedom of movement of the Brooks, but without the action back I didn't expect it would (and I don't think that's possible unless it's oversized, at least not with this jacket on my frame).

Have you ever held onto a clothing piece because you’re told that it’s unique or hard to get? I’ve had this Flat Head Deerskin jacket for months and have only pulled it out a few times. I love the soft hand of the deerskin and the color is a great neutral tone. However, it feels so fragile and delicate compared to some of my more robust pieces like the Field Leathers Shinki or Freewheelers Shinki that it always gets passed up. Decisions decisions …

@JMax Very nice!!! I wish mine was a white label with the diamond zip pull on the chest; and the front panels on mine aren't matched for grain at all. But still pretty happy with the find! All the panels but one have really nice leather. Yours is awesome!! Maybe someday I'll find a 36 like that for a good price. There's a beautiful one on the 'Bay but for $400, or maybe it's $450...I can't remember. Too steep for me. Although, I guess if I sold all three of my jackets then I could get the one! Hmmm, something to think about maybe... LOL

I got super lucky and found this one for $100. But yeah, they normally go for a bit more. I’m always looking out for white label H-D jackets. The cross zips can get pricier, especially their PJ-27 copy.

If you like vtg CRs, I would recommend a Cal (my favorite). Maybe a Bates.
