Well, spring is here, so I decided to blend with dogwood (;))and bought a Lost Worlds collab suede trucker on fleabay. Stu is not building anything half-way - this is a sturdy suede, stiff and heavy. The jacket is short, but if any jacket can be forgiven for being short it is the trucker. I have to say I quite like it, it is out there color-wise, but what the heck...:)

Thats nice! Looks great, you have so many new nice jackets none of them have any wear like this
@John D Maccarter Thanks John! Oh man I totally agree with you and if I could I would but there are simply not many opportunities during the week, just sitting the whole day in the home office, late afternoon/evening children's playground (sometimes I wear one but simple ones and not the nicest ones as I don't want to feel overdressed there) and maybe one day during the weekend sometimes not if it's raining...just lack of occasions these days. Selling most of them could be an option and just focusing on 2 or 3 but that's hard/impossible at least for me :)

Yes, it’s short, but with the sweater I think it totally works.
The jacket says “Vintage” so you’re allowed to wear it this way ;). Go out and flaunt this bad boy with confidence!
@handymike Thanks for your honest feedback. I love almost everything about this jacket - the thick and supple leather (I don't have much experience with true vintage leather jackets and don't have a comparison), overall jacket style, the side laces, etc. and if the length would be 1" longer it would be one of my favorite jackets. I think I just need to get used to it.

Agree with @handymike that length looks great! Really nice how the open lapel follows the chest pocket line. Beautiful jacket and fit @Robbie79
@Mrfrown Thanks, man! I also love your vintage ones - your Bates is my favorite one and it looks perfect on you!

I think it looks good on you. Short jackets look great on the right build (kind of athletic, with broad-ish shoulders and not too long legs), I could never pull it off.

Thanks. I think it is borderline okay, but some may say it is too short. Like Robbie, I invite comments from the esteemed Loungers. I think I will wear it because I like it, which is the most important thing...:)

If all the jackets were cut the same, all we would need is one. Ok maybe two. One black and one brown. Then what would we do with all our time and post about?

Some are short, some are "perfect", some are long. Some are tight. Some are relaxed. Again, some are "perfect". I don't think I've ever seen anything getting into OMG that's crazy yet. Have some fun. I got a Cal that I know is at least a size too small for me and I don't care. Makes me feel good wearing it and that's the way it's going to stay.:p

The jacket isn't short, it's perfect. If it would have been any longer I would have commented that it looked elongated :p

I like 'short' truckers. In my eyes, that's how they should be worn.

@Robbie79 it is on the short side but it looks great on you plus it's a nice change to your other perfect length jackets. Congrats on a superb cross zip

@Will Zach love that trucker fit and that color. Congrats
Thanks @Jin431 I appreciate your feedback and kind words!

@TooManyHatsOnlyOneHead Thanks - you're definitely right and we probably wouldn't be here if we were "average leather jacket persons" (1 or 2 jackets) and life would be too boring for us. It's probably part of our passion to figure out different styles, lenghts, leathers, zippers, linings, collars, etc. If it was an OTR jacket I would size up (also 1" longer) but on the other hand, as @handymike already said I also feel that this is a special one which can't be found on every corner.

I think that sums up my goal with this hobby. To try a lot of different styles, finding out whether or not I can make them work while looking badass (or at least have the feeling that I look badass :p)

I already know that I can pull off a classic halfbelt. So instead of ordering yet another halfbelt, I'd rather order a German mc jacket or a military style like the A1.

Short jackets are fine with a front drop. A jacket that leaves one’s belt exposed in the front looks like a matador’s jacket to me. I don’t think altering one’s wardrobe to accommodate a jacket makes much sense. This Herc I had was 24” in back but the 2” front drop made it wearable (barely)...If it were blunt cut I may have been asked where I parked my bull.
