Those front pockets look enormous. Do you know why those were made so large?

They are bigger than I'd prefer, and they don't appear as large in person, but they are bigger than an A-2 or a G-1. I think part of their "large" appearance is the jacket is new and the pocket flaps are still a little stiff and tend to stick out a little. The patch pockets incorporate hand-warmer pockets on the front, so that may be why they are bigger than other flight jackets. It is kind of a "G-2" design with flaps instead of zippered pockets. Here a better picture without my circumference distorting the picture.

Plus, it's sold as a airline uniform jacket, so it could be made to someone's specific requirements?
