What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

@dudewuttheheck, anyone can of course wear their jackets the way they like but I'd pretty much say that this is a textbook example of a right fit for a jean jacket and it must be noted that this is absolutely the most perfect sleeve length you'd want on a Type-3. Makes me wish they were shorter on my Lee. Extra seam on the sleeves is something new, though but I like it. Got the same thing on my shearling yellow trucker jacket.

I'm not a big fan of suede but I know it works for a Type-3. Had a Schott made in it, same color, fit and all and if there's a jacket they got absolutely right, it was that one.

My new to me Aero A-1, formerly the brainchild of @dudewuttheheck and made by Greg Field when he was still with Aero.

Badalassi tobacco cowhide and olive knits and thread. I always loved Aero’s A-1 design even more so than the more accurate reproductions on the market today, so I’m pretty pleased with this so far to handle it in person. The leather is stunning and it’s such a good match for the olive knits and thread. It’s a bit squeaky, thinner than I had anticipated it would be (in a good way), and has beautiful depth to it. It doesn’t drape tremendously yet, but I imagine this will improve with time and wear as this jacket is virtually brand new.

This is a size 40 tag, but I’m a 42 normally. I do like the buttoned up fit better and plan to wear it like that mostly, but in time I think it will drape better once really broken in.

Overall, I think my larger shoulders and height make this fit work better for me than @dudewuttheheck and I am glad it eventually traveled down the line and ended up in my hands. Special thanks to @huy tran for the sale.

Love this jacket! I even liked it on DWTH, but now it really has found its true home!

One more time to the office before the festivities, so I decided to forgo suit and tie for once.

Aero Primo HWM in Navy Blue CXL-HH. And the heavy one too. Old favorite of mine. Originally made for @ton312 but landed on Aero´s sales page due to a misconfiguration of the sleeve zips.

It's a great touch, looks cooler that way too. That's a good bit of info to know that FW designs their jacket that way. Is this jacket from Japan and acquired through buyee or yahoo?

Yes I got it through Yahoo auctions using buyee. Was pretty easy to do overall. Some have more of a drop than others of course and some of their longer jackets are more A shaped so this is NOT a universal thing. It's just that a lot of their jackets are quite slim.

This front drop is one of the advantages of the FW Leather jackets, I love it and it makes the jacket so comfortable to wear. In addition, the front drop at FW is perfectly balanced. The front drop on jackets behave similarly to the hip hang of jeans, it is a pleasure to wear such a balanced garment. @dudewuttheheck I also have to say your FW Lot. 667 jacket is an eye-catcher.

Yes it's something that they do extremely well and why I praise their patterns so much. They just sit on me and so many others so incredibly well.

Thanks! I was thrilled with how this ended up fitting. Yeah I'm not usually a suede guy either for jackets, but I think it works in this color and in this style of jacket. On paper I should not like this jacket, but I absolutely adore it.

This is the first time I wore my FL out into the rain. Not because I baby my jackets but because I generally don't like walking in the rain.

Instantly the sleeves developed some nice creases and some grain started to pop.

I think I'll be going out in the rain more often from now on :)

Doesn´t get any beeter than this. It starts to trouble me that every singly JL-jacket I see lately looks simply great.

Thanks! It's like an entirely new jacket after JL did the alterations. That's a very accurate assessment, the JL company has been on a roll and they keep churning out great pieces right after the other. Feels like they are inspired and adapted to the ever changing taste from customers

@Tom71 that navy cxl Aero is very cool. Looks like you like your blue leather jackets a lot considering you also have the blue field jacket! Nice to know the jacket is the former brain child of tony too.

I should really look at the buyee JP site more! I want to get a jacket made from Japan next year. FW does make awe inspiring jackets for sure, congrats on landing another one

That little soaking did wonders to that already gorgeous jacket! Great to see you wearing the jacket. Hoping to get mine soon after the holidays, Greg has been very busy lately.
