This afternoon it'll be 63 F.*, but it was a bit chilly this morning (ca. 38) for my leather Raiders jacket. So I doubled up with a camel hair blazer under my long black cashmere-blend topcoat, which by this fall I will have had for 20 years!

* Not bragging, complaining. 63 in January means a sticky nasty 85 by March.

yes: I bought it through Thurston Bros, and I asked for a collar to be made ( so I guess, they asked Aero to do it)

Yeah, Aero doesn't seem too happy to do the collar for some reason. I couldn't get them to do one, at least... Awesome jacket and awesome wear, Mysteryo!

Hi all--

We do the snaps and fur collars here in Seattle, post production. Matching leather and a cool color fur of the customer's choosing are utilized to make each snap-off fur collar. We individually pattern each collar so that it's perfectly fitted to the original production collar. The jackets look really great with the fur and the fur adds a "second look" that folks like quite a bit!

Big day on the clothes front today. First the postman brought me this,

And then I went to the glasses shop and got my glasses with new lenses.

Then I stopped at a thrift and the boot fairy gave me these,

In my winter boot size so I can wear big wool socks with them.
And then at my favorite thrift the coat fairy had this,

Cowhide, I guess, and made in Brazil for Hides at Alexander's. No idea on that one.

Michael...with so many nice jackets & apparel...I'd be :).
That's my copyrighted photo scowl © So don't try it at home or I'll be sending cease and desist letters. Ha ha.

Killing it!
Thank you sir. Some 25ish guy in a store was quite impressed with the pants.

That is one high crown fedora! Who made it?
It's a Portis and I see rumor on the hat forum says maybe from the 30s.

Thanks,
Michael

Nice jacket and lovely warm looking cardi. I admire your confidence in wearing exactly what you like, I could never get away with those trousers!
Mark - They got rid of the fashion police due to budget cuts so don't worry. I've gotten real compliments on these pants from young women, old women and old men. And as of today, a young man. They're Brooks Brothers, the quintessential mainline American brand, so push yourself and try them. Any jacket with leather in it, unless you're talking suede elbow patches on your tweed sport coat, is far more daring.

Bummer. I hope they gave you the same pain meds they gave me for wisdom tooth extraction. It was a week long vacation in the recliner. I think the most relaxed I've ever been. Ha ha.
