What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Got my Cal today from one of John's sales. The 42L cross zip one.

I know from reading some of the many great posts here, there's a few where you see people talking about their epiphany jacket. Well, include me in that group now. Absolutely love this thing and question why I need so many other jackets now. Overall build. Pattern. Just stylish, comfortable, sleek, and is everything I think about when I think about a motorcycle, rock n roll kind of jacket. Wish it were another .25-.5 inch in the waist and bottom hem, but considering it's been stuffed in a box for a week and a little on the dry side, I'm hoping some conditioner and airing out will give it a little more wiggle. Worse case, it'll be tshirt and unzipped, or straight out lose 5 pounds because I'm never giving this thing up. And yeah, the sleeves could be another .5 as well. But as the saying goes, if you can zip it, it fits. Going to see if I can get a sheepskin collar at Cal. They're actually like half hour away from me. Never realized that.

Also, thinking about taking out the side lacing. It's stretched to the max, so kind of draws attention there I think. Might be more natural looking without them. Let me know what you think.

Looks great! Cal jackets are so cool. I mean, they're out there, they don't cost a lot and nothing else on the market can as much as touch them. I don't mind the laces, even if untied.

Hound doesn't seem terribly impressed with the jacket, tho.

LOL. Yeah, this work from home business has really turned me into a degenerate.

And the dog is like really, more pics of you in a jacket? How about we go play ball instead. YAWN!!! LOL

The laces are just really stretched with that folded leather maxed out. I usually don't tie them anyway. Maxed out, they don't have the sheiky sort of vibe, looks more like overweight person in spandex at Walmart kind of vibe.

I feel you on the working from home. It’s now my second stint of working from home. I’m in sweated and hoodies all day, everyday. Running errands stinky and dressed the same. Snacking on chips all day, got crumbs on the couch. At this point no one would know how nice and expensive my wardrobe is or that I cared about fashion in the least bit. I’m becoming a blob, or more like one with the couch.

I've been in the home office since march. I dress normally every day, do sport almost every day, actually almost everything as usual. The difference is that I now often sit in front of the computer wearing a leather jacket. When else should I wear them :D

yep, that's me. Breaking in all my purchases past 6 months. Getting the little ducklings ready for when they can go out and see the world LOL. The only difference is during the summer I was wearing them too, with boxers and of course no shoes as always.

@Albe64 joined yesterday and his first few posts include some stellar jackets.

@Shine joined a year ago but posted for the first time a few minutes ago and his fist post also includes a stellar jacket.

Welcome gentlemen and thanks for the jacket porn. Keep it coming.
Thank you, the pleasure is absolutely mine! I am writing from Italy so my timing in answering could be late...

I missed @Albe64 join timing, and credit is definitely due!

Also meant to ask, do you tend to wear darker colors under your white jacket? Here I see what appears to be all black or navy.
Hi and thank you. I have to say that I prefer to wear light colors under that particular jacket. The color now is ivory, due to aging, and a white t-shirt or a light gray sweater are absolutely perfect. In general, being the jacket so "flashy", I wouldn't wear anything too rich in graphics or colors..

Today and yesterday.

Himel Intrepid for the cold days 6-13 Celsius and I don’t feel a thing. The reversible detail and the wool/corduroy is amazing. Unfortunately I think that being reversible makes it more snug and I could have sized up at the time to be able to layer or button it all up without it being too snug in the bottom.

I have the same issue, and I am afraid this is a bit of a flaw in the pattern. My Intrepid fits just fine, but the armholes are so high that I can´t get a serious jumper under it, even if it were no problem chet-wise.

Still, Corduroy and Harris Tweed ist a good enough combination for most weather conditions and the look and flair of the jacket is pretty unbeatable...

I have some 21oz jeans coming from Bravestar this Friday. My first attempt at this raw denim thing. lol.

A first attempt and a bold one!

I found the black 21 oz jacket I got from Bravestar was rather close to wearable cardboard on delivery but time and wear are making it much more approachable.

Good luck with the jeans!
