Something about that Vanson comp weight when it gets some miles on it. It's just great stuff and a relative bargain to boot! It's funny how all the other jackets ITT look super high quality until you post a few of a Vanson like that. Then all of the sudden they don't look so very high quality anymore...
It's finally cool enough to wear my new (less than a month old) Wested Raiders in goat:

Thanks! I was a little nervous about ordering a jacket I'd never tried on from England -- but I've ordered 2 hats all the way from Australia, so this wasn't too bad. Fortunately I'm a pretty standard medium/size 40, and the jacket was true to size.Awesome.
Nice fit indeed...........Loving breaking in my new black CXL FQHH Aero Plainsman 42".
Thanks to Denny in Galasheils for excellent service and Paula for superb craftsmanship.
Thank you. I drove from Edinburgh to Gala with the intention of ordering a custom HB in cordovan and fell in love with the Plainsman and a beautiful brown Bootlegger on the rails. It's a candy shop and I'll be living on soup for a while. No regrets; delighted.Nice fit indeed...........
I've lived in Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders for 21 years and I cannot believe I'd never come across the wonderous Aero before. Serendipity now though. I need to resist any further temptation...So you came back with both ?!?
Sweet! You're going to fit right in around here
I'm just hoping you get more wear out of it in your swamp than I'm getting out of my Aero in mine this so-called winter. Nice combo, though. Thanks! I know; Miami and Noo Awlins both have 2 seasons, January and SUMMER. (Not sure about Miami, though.) As for the combo, I try to wear a hat that contrasts with the color of whatever coat or shirt I wear. Charcoal gray hat w/ tan jacket, silverbelly or tan or light gray hat with dark chocolate jacket.I'm just hoping you get more wear out of it in your swamp than I'm getting out of my Aero in mine this so-called winter. Nice combo, though.
