I’m still getting acquainted with this Aero 30’ HB. It’s really nice and I’m leaning toward keeping it as a “wear open w/t-shirt and vest only” option. I can zip it but it’s awfully tight when closed. Something about jet black CXL. No nonsense hide. This jacket is probably the lightest CXL FQHH and I think that’s what makes it wearable in this size for me. I’d say it sits right at 3 oz. and weighs around 5-6lbs. so despite the trim fit it’s not hard to wear. Even the back pleats have started to grow on me. Sort of.

Cool jacket. But maybe the belt is a little bit high?

curious which period this jacket was made, it's more like their "Cossack" model, with a chin strap and simple pleated back, no nonsense. This one looks very tapered at the HB

It feels high too but I think it’s a combination of things. The belt is less wide horizontally and actually closer to the hem than on my other half belts. This jacket has a 25.5” back length, HB is 6” up from the hem. This bootlegger is 27” back length and the belt is 7” up from hem. I also think the pleats make it look a bit higher but I do agree. It feels higher for sure.

Made in 2012 for Insurrection Vintage (now Thurston Bros). I think this was the garden variety 30’s HB model they stocked.

Thanks guys, it's a size 38 Black Vicenza with grey alpaca wool lining.
It is pretty roomy for a 38, fits much more like a 40 or even 42 in most other jackets I have.

I'll jump on the scales tomorrow for you @Seb Lucas and let you know how much it weighs.

Vanson Force on the bike (armored pad / vintage comp weight ). Sry for the lack of photo but the jacket had to come off the minute I rolled in the garage. 88 / humid :( Guess that's why they make a perforated version but I just can't force myself into liking the look.
