What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Cool. What thickness would you say it is? What's the lining like?
I’d say 3-3.5oz. Not overly heavy but it has heft. The liner is a yellow silk type common on older Bates.

Schott 637 steerhide again today on a cloudy gloomy day, max temp 15C. The "'vintage bouquet" now fresh jacket !
The one that came up super well with the Eucalyptus woolwash and RM Williams leather conditioner.
Coastal "social distancing" take out coffee jaunt. My good lady wife on the camera ( on my Samsung 'phone !)
This is after 2 days of "winter" storms, 100Km/H winds and driving rain squalls , nice to get out again.
Actually quite pleasant today with minimal wind. This west coast highway walking/cycling path is many kilometres long.
This jacket is a "favourite" if not on the Harley. Too frequent showers for motorcycling today.

Hmmm... not sure if a size L would work... it seems too tight for your body measurements? Okay, it's all about which style/leather you are looking for and how trim you like to wear your jackets... ;)

I'm asking for the XL measurements as well, but the L is pretty spot on to a few jackets I already own.

This is canvas mostly and canvas should break in and stretch a bit. I'm looking for a fitted look I would say. Nothing long and oversized; I have jackets for that already. Of course, I don't want it skin tight though, but I think this style looks best in a slim fit.

edit: His XL dimensions are pretty close, list on the right.

chest 56cm. armpit to armpit (22 "). 58 cm XL
waist, 53 cm navel height (21 ") 55cm
bottom 52 cm (20.5 ") 54cm
back length, 60cm. (23.5 ") 62cm
Shoulders, 47cm (18.5 ") 48cm
sleeve 66cm. (26 ") . 67cm

Of all the Bates I’ve owned over the years...I like this one best. Far from perfect. Patches removed, sloppy main zip replacement. All that aside...This one is a keeper. Stop rolling your eyes. LOL.

Nice fit. Beautiful cut. But...how can this be one better than your vintage Blue Bates? That Blue Bates is just off-the-charts cool!
