What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Nice one! Like a Bates Suburban. If it's too tight let's talk!
That’s what I thought too! Fit is to the nuts. Not that that really means much as we all k ow how I do. But I really like this one. Have one more jacket I need to round out this year. It’s been on my want list for quite awhile. Interestingly enough I won’t have anything made past the 1970’s. It appears I’ve gone full circle back to where I started in this hobby.

Fine, damn it, I like it! remind me if I missed something..how much did you pay for it and what kind of skin is it? thanks.

Do you mean the cafe racer? It's an 11 years old Aero Leather Cafe Racer Front Quarter Horse Hide. I don't remember the exact price but I think it was about 600 or 700 EUR.

It looks great, and only eleven years old, that's been worn hard, probably in a desert.

Careful! You're gonna hit the gym and bust those seams right out!

Oh, please excuse me;) I thought it was your five star jacket, which they made to order for you)

What are the measurements of the jacket? We are close but I think your “to the nuts” is a tad tight on me. Looking for a Bates fit reference. Tks.
It came in larger than advertised. Which was good b/c I figured it was going right to market after I received it. 23.25” p2p (listed as 22”)
26” sleeve (listed as 25”) 19” shoulder (not listed) and 28” back, which was exactly right. It’s a t shirt only fit I’d imagine, like a longer and trim CR.

Thanks. Tagged 42 or 44? That’s in my wheelhouse. Just that most of the 42s I have handled are 22” P2P, zippable but too snug for me.

Such bad luck that I don't have the figure for used jackets. Either the sleeves and / or body are too short, or everything is too wide.

sadly jacket season is over for now as summer is in full gear... so to speak :D so I have to put away my 2 repro Eastman Leather A-2 jackets (a Star Sportswear and RoughWear 42-1401P) and my wearable vintage WWII Aero 21996 contract... looking forward to the end of October when I can wear my leather again.(I used to like summer.... :/

well, the Aero makes for a nice artsy fartsy display for the time being...

No tag size or “made for...” just the plain Bates oval. Judging by fit I’d say it’s a 44LL

42” Bates is pretty small. I had this brown one a few years back but it was a sausage casing. Cool ass jacket though.
