Nobody to take photos of me wearing any of my jackets anymore. Nobody to say "That one's even worse than the last one!". Nobody whose perpetually negative comments I couldn't wait to hear whenever I bought any new piece of wardrobe. Never a good jacket in 5 five years and I loved every second of it.

Damn you, life. Why give you'll just take it away?

Two that you actually kinda liked... Levi's and Hein Gericke. Not today but who cares.

Have trusting issue here due to mom left with neighbor and father remarried and left me with grandparent since childhood, only committed to my own life and my pets after my grandma passed. Other humans are not worthy of commitment

With two Vanson on order, though I better break in my lesser worn ones, so rode to work in my chopper jacket. Now wearing that jacket in my office, hoping every little bit helps in the break-in process. Can’t believe I’ve had it for so many years and it still squeaks and creaks like it’s brand new, which it almost is ...

I wonder if squeaks and creaks, happens more on gusseted jackets due to thick leather to thick leather rubbing, i have 2 thick cow one with action gusset squeak, the other with fix back doesnt

For me it seems to be the hide, steer and Cape are very creaky whereas horse seems to be silent, at least it is in my stable.

Yeah it's the hide and how it is tanned and perhaps the dye used from what I can tell. Strangely if you put talc on the jacket the squeakiness often stops.

I have little bamboo forest along the riverbank behind my house, and they squeak and creak alot on windy days i think from brushing against each other, isnt it the same with leather? Perhaps when leather surface is smooth and dry it squeak when brushing each other like fingernails on glass, waxier or more grainy leather probably wont squeak as much. Just my theory
