Damn!!!!! This is... Did LW change the tannery or is this what the jackets that are actually worn look like? This is insane. Gotta be the nicest I've seen.
Monitor,
As far as I know it is the same tannery as before. What has really brought out the grain and texture in this one is wearing it out during several heavy rainstorms. This and the fact that I also wear my jackets at work loading and unloading materials, pulling wire, climbing up and down ladders, etc. has helped to break the jacket in quickly. Hell it won’t even stand up on its own the way it used to!

My CHP is like Marro’s. Thick, heavy, but the stiffness is almost totally knocked out of it after a year of wear. Now, the J23, which I think was built in 2015/16, has a much stiffer hand and feel. Thicker and heavy, but it maintains its stiffness. In certain areas it has a different look up close, different feel. I’m thinking my CHP is 4 oz but the J23 is 4.5+.

Show Goto from White Kloud Boots came to LA on vacation in early December and we were able to set up a fitting for people at Railcar Fine Goods in Monrovia. It was a great event and he was busy with fittings all day. I also included one of the pictures I took of him when I took him to Huntington Beach. He's a great guy and I am glad to call him a friend now along with being my favorite boot maker.

I don't know what his kit is aside from the hat which is Dappers and the shoes which he obviously made for himself.
